South Jersey Pops To Pay Homage To Spies And Heroes On A Mission In Popular Culture

(CHERRY HILL, NJ) -- Shhh! The South Jersey Pops, the region's own non-profit orchestra, concludes its 51st season with a "Top Secret" performance on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Lenape High School in Medford, NJ. The 60-piece ensemble will salute spies, secret agents and heroes on a mission in popular culture, ranging from Mission: Impossible and Peter Gunn to James Bond and The A-Team.



Tony Award Nominees to Provide Entertainment for Two River Theater Fundraising Gala on May 13th

(RED BANK, NJ) -- Two River Theater has announced the entertainment lineup for their annual spring fundraising event on Saturday, May 13th, 2023. Three-time Tony Award nominee and Emmy nominee Kate Burton, Broadway's Eden Espinosa, three-time Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald, Barrymore Award winner and Drama Desk Award nominee Orville Mendoza, and Brazilian singer, actor, and songwriter Marina Pires will regale attendees with a fun-filled musical concert celebrating the announcement of Two River Theater's 30th Anniversary 2023/2024 season.



River Crossing Concerts' Spring Fest features live music and food trucks on June 4th

(RIVER EDGE, NJ) -- River Crossing Concerts presents an all-day outdoors festival on Sunday, June 4 from 12:00pm-5:00pm with live music ranging from American jazz and ragtime to Afro-Latin salsa, from the rhythms of Brazilian Samba and Caribbean Reggae to the sparkling sounds of Irish bagpipes. In addition to the live music, the festival will have food trucks, arts and crafts, and games. The event takes place on the lawn and parking lot of First Congregational Church in River Edge. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.



New Jersey Youth Chorus Marks 30th Anniversary with Weekend Celebration May 20-21

Shinedown to Have Shows in Camden and Newark in September

(CAMDEN, NJ) -- Multi-platinum, chart-topping band Shinedown has announced their upcoming fall leg of The Revolutions Live Tour, co-produced by Live Nation and FPC Live, with support From Papa Roach and Spiritbox. The tour includes shows at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden on Saturday, September 16th and the Prudential Center in Newark on Sunday, September 24.



NJPAC to Present Live Concert Performance of "Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse"

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse will be heading to NJPAC for a live concert performance on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 7:00pm. The screening of the Academy Award-winning animated film from Sony will be accompanied by a live orchestra, band, and turntables playing music from the score and soundtrack.



2023 Maplewood Music and Arts Festival to Take Place July 8-9

(MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The eighteenth Maplewoodstock Music and Arts Festival will take place on Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9, 2023. Music begins at noon each day. This year's headliners on Saturday are Red Baraat and Mihali. Headliners for Sunday are Remember Jones and Louis Cato.

Paper Mill Playhouse Announces 2023 Rising Star Nominations

"She's Like the Wind"

The first thing you'll see upon entering the gallery at Deep Space (77 Cornelison St.) is the shadow-outline of a woman's leg. There it is, on a chartreuse background, sticking straight up in the air with a curvaceous bare foot inches from the ceiling. That's all of the subject of "Lemon Lime Toe of God" that the oil painter Delilah Ray Miske is willing to show us. The rest of the body, she implies, is splayed out on a bed. We know it's summer because the window is closed and the air conditioner is plugged in. There's a pretty good chance that the possessor of the leg is undressed. In one hand, she holds a cellphone, and she might be broadcasting something. On the wall, a small whip-like broomstick hangs. It could be the ride of a tiny witch. It could be the professional tool of a dominatrix.
