(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Philadelphia Zoo, America's first zoo and a beloved destination for people around the world, announced that Dr. Jo-Elle Mogerman will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer beginning October 30, 2023. Succeeding Vikram Dewan's 16+ year tenure leading the institution, Dr. Mogerman comes to Philadelphia as its 15th President in its 164-year history after serving as the Director of the Saint Louis Zoo WildCare Park in Missouri since 2019.

Music lovers enter the historic Hackensack-Meridian Health auditorium inside Red Bank, NJ's Count Basie Center for the Arts this Wednesday, August 9, 2023 evening and admire its alluring chandelier surrounded by a painted sky and ornate walls. Taking their seats, their eyes are drawn to the red lights that illuminate the back curtain creating a rich tapestry behind a Steinway grand placed center stage. They also notice ten seashell floor lights and five overhead spotlights which shine through the onstage fog cutting a shaft of light focused on a piano bench and a single microphone.








The Growing Stage Announces 2023-24 Season

(NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage: The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre on Route 183 in Netcong, has announced their 2023-24 Main Stage Season - their 42nd Season overall. In addition to a full slate of shows, they have educational programming for young people grades Pre-K through High School and special events announced throughout the season.



The Newton Theatre Stage Production Boot Camp

(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre Stage Production Boot Camp takes place every Tuesday from September 26th through November 2nd (except October 31). Sponsored by First Energy Foundation, this is an immersive course where students receive real world hands-on experience in production and the entertainment industry.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
