2023 New Jersey International Film Festival Winners Announced! All the works that were part of the 2023 New Jersey International Film Festival Competition were selected by a panel of judges including media professionals, journalists, students, and academics. These judges selected the 35 finalists which were publicly screened at our Festival. The finalists were selected from 711 works submitted by filmmakers from around the world. In addition, the judges chose the Prize Winners in conjunction with the Festival Director.

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The GRAMMY Award-winning trio Time for Three kicked off the Opening Weekend of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra's 2023 Princeton Festival on June 9th. This was followed by Aretha, A Tribute which featured Drama Desk Award nominee Capathia Jenkins singing many of the Queen of Soul's signature melodies with three-time GRAMMY-nominated artist Ryan Shaw. They were accompanied with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, conducted by John Devlin. Internationally renowned pianist Christopher Taylor closed out the weekend with selections by composers of some of the world's most thrilling works for the piano: Sergei Rachmaninoff, Nikolai Kapustin, Sofia Gubaidulina, and Sergei Prokofiev.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey opens their 2003 season with a classic from Tennessee Williams titled The Rose Tattoo. The production is an outstanding play to see due to several factors and the direction by Bonnie Monte. In her Director's Notes, Monte writes that she was fortunate to have an opportunity to work with Tennessee Williams in 1981 and 1982 shortly before he died. She writes, "He has influenced my life in the theatre more than any other playwright besides Shakespeare. The Rose Tattoo is Tennessee's homage to love and life, and this production is my grateful homage to him."
(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage presents Vivid Solos, a play reading series, every Wednesday in July. The readings take place at 6:30pm on the lawn of the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey. That's all of the subject of "Lemon Lime Toe of God" that the oil painter Delilah Ray Miske is willing to show us. The rest of the body, she implies, is splayed out on a bed. We know it's summer because the window is closed and the air conditioner is plugged in. There's a pretty good chance that the possessor of the leg is undressed. In one hand, she holds a cellphone, and she might be broadcasting something. On the wall, a small whip-like broomstick hangs. It could be the ride of a tiny witch. It could be the professional tool of a dominatrix.
