(RED BANK, NJ) -- Now that it is a Federal Holiday, Juneteenth celebrations will be happening across the nation. In Red Bank, the festivities will take place on Sunday June 18, at Johnny Jazz Park, on the corners of Shrewsbury Ave., and Dr. James Parker Blvd., at 1:00pm. The Greater Red Bank community is invited to gather at Pilgrim Baptist Church at 12 Noon, where a procession, led by Rev. Terrence Porter will start at 12:15pm, toward the park.

(MAHWAH, NJ) -- Ramapo College of New Jersey, in collaboration with Newark Public School District’s Science Park High School teacher Shawn Adler, published the book The Helpers. The memoir features stories from high school students across New Jersey who share their experiences of struggle, doubt, crisis, and talk about those who helped them persevere and triumph when faced with adversity. "The published collection showcases 61 of the best stories, which highlight the extraordinary power of our most vulnerable," said Adler. This is the second collaboration between Shawn Adler and Ramapo College.

2023 New Jersey International Film Festival Winners Announced! All the works that were part of the 2023 New Jersey International Film Festival Competition were selected by a panel of judges including media professionals, journalists, students, and academics. These judges selected the 35 finalists which were publicly screened at our Festival. The finalists were selected from 711 works submitted by filmmakers from around the world. In addition, the judges chose the Prize Winners in conjunction with the Festival Director.

In one hand, she holds a cellphone, and she might be broadcasting something. On the wall, a small whip-like broomstick hangs. It could be the ride of a tiny witch. It could be the professional tool of a dominatrix.
