(WEST HUDSON, NJ) -- The West Hudson Arts & Theater Co (WHATCo) will host open auditions for Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic. The show will be WHATCo’s first Main Stage production of 2023. Auditions will be held in person Thursday, July 13th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm and Tuesday, July 18th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Call backs (if needed) will be Thursday July 27th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Auditions will be held at the theater, 15 Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. South, Harrison, N.J. (the former Holy Cross School).
(LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- The New Jersey Repertory Company will present the world premiere of Michael Tucker's comedy A Tailor Near Me, directed by James Glossman. Starring Tony Nominee Richard Kind and James Pickens, Jr., this limited run will begin on July 27 in advance of its July 29 opening night and will run through September 3, 2023. In the play, a man goes to a tailor to have his suit pants let out because he's gained some weight since he last wore them. The tailor convinces him that what he really needs is a new suit, which leads to a negotiation, which leads to the making of a bespoke suit, which leads to alterations in both of their lives.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame E Street Band member, Crazy Horse member and solo artist Nils Lofgren released "Won't Cry No More (For Charlie Watts)," a blistering track that channels the passing of Charlie Watts into a broader reflection on loss and perseverance. We know it's summer because the window is closed and the air conditioner is plugged in. There's a pretty good chance that the possessor of the leg is undressed. In one hand, she holds a cellphone, and she might be broadcasting something. On the wall, a small whip-like broomstick hangs. It could be the ride of a tiny witch. It could be the professional tool of a dominatrix.
