"Effervescent!" Lillias White LIVE! at Axelrod PAC

Cheers ensue as Broadway actress, Lillias White, takes the Axelrod Performing Arts Center stage this Sunday, August 20, 2023 evening along with her accompanist, pianist Mathis Picard. Recently featured on Jane Pauley's CBS Sunday Morning TV show, White, 72, is a veteran of nearly a dozen Broadway productions including How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and the winner of a 1997 Tony Award for her performance in The Life. She currently can be seen appearing in the hit Broadway musical, Hadestown.



10th and Final Dance on The Lawn to Take Place September 9th

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Dance on the Lawn, Montclair, NJ’s outdoor dance festival, will return for its tenth and final year, "Celebrating New Jersey." The Festival's 2023 finale will take place on on Saturday, September 9th on the front lawn of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 73 S Fullerton Ave, Montclair, NJ, from 3:00pm-5:00pm. The festival is free.

Inspiring film Fandango, portrait of an opera workshop opens the Fall 2023 New Jersey Film Festival on Friday, September 8!

Fandango, portrait of an opera workshop, a film directed by Manno Lanssens, centers around the art of opera and emphasizes the importance of people singing in times of despair, as well as throughout their lives. The film features the talents of opera singing, and focuses on the teaching of Joy Bechtler, founder of the Operanauts, an organization founded to mentor people impacted by trauma and support their healing by teaching them the art of opera. The film emphasizes the interconnectedness of different forms of music, inspires the viewer by showcasing the talented singers who go through the program, and centers around the impact that the arts can have on people, including in times of hardship.








The Warrior Mindset: CW2 Nick Lavery to Speak at Grunin Center

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Veterans and Military Resource Center (VMRC) at Ocean County College is pleased to welcome Chief Warrant Officer 2 Nick Lavery to speak at the Grunin Center at 9:30am on Monday, September 11. Centenary Stage to Kick Off 2023-24 Season with The Company Men

Jersey City's Exchange Place to host 5th Annual Salsa & Latin Jazz Series

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Pier Fest, Jersey City's annual Latin Jazz & Salsa series is returning Friday nights this September. Riverview Jazz, the producers of the Jersey City Jazz Festival, have partnered once again with Exchange Place Alliance to present the music and dance series at the J. Owen Grundy Plaza located where Montgomery St meets the Hudson River. The events begin Friday, September 8th at 6:00pm and will run consecutive Fridays through September 29th. Each event features two world-class bands, food trucks, a Salsa dance lesson, and is free to the public.

NJPAC presents a Spring Season of Jazz

PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. The season kicks-off on February 4, 2026 with The Librarians and continues through May. The series is free for all but sign up is required.
