(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Vanguard Theater presents Little Women across two weekends from January 16-25, 2026. Based on Louisa May Alcott's beloved novel, Little Women is a moving story of family, ambition, and finding your voice—brought to life through beautiful music and heartfelt performances by their dedicated pre-professional artists.
Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America.
Performances take place Friday, January 16 at 8:00pm; Saturday, January 17 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm; Sunday, January 18 at 1:00pm & 7:00pm; Thursday, January 22 at 8:00pm; Friday, January 23 at 8:00pm; Saturday, January 24 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm; and Sunday, January 25 at 1:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The theater is located at 180 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, New Jersey.
