(BEACH HAVEN, NJ) -- Comedy, theatre, and music are on the schedule to start the year at Surflight Theatre.  First up, back by popular demand, is their ever popular BYOB Comedy night on Saturday, January 21 at 7:30pm. Bring yourselves to the theatre to catch an evening of laughter and fun with three comics: Joe Bublewicz, Joe Devito, and Dena Blizzard.

The host for the night is Joe Bublewicz. Joe's ability to take you on a tour of life's absurdities will create an atmosphere of non-stop laughter by blending just the right mix of sarcasm, logic, and personality into a hilarious stand-up performance.

The headliner for January 21st is Joe Devito. Whether taking on relationships, his Italian-American family, or current events, Joe DeVito's dead-on timing, unexpected twists and sheer flights of lunacy make him a favorite at clubs and colleges across the USA, and at the top venues in New York City.

The Comedy Night also features Dena Blizzard. Dena is One Funny Mother! She first garnered attention in 1995 as Miss New Jersey in the Miss America Pageant, where she proudly ranked in the “Top 50″. Since then she has worked as a television host, comedienne, and short-order cook and chauffer to her three kids. Dena can currently be seen on Anderson Cooper's Daytime show and in clubs and theaters around the country. Previously, Dena has performed for audiences at The Nate Berkus Show, Paula Deen's “Paula's Party”, and Emeril Lagasse show “Live with Emeril” on the Food Network. She has also warmed-up audiences for the Rachael Ray show, The Chew and the Celebrity Apprentice Finale.

Tickets for the comedy night are $23.00 and available for purchase online or by calling 609-492-9477.

Next up is Disney's Little Mermaid Jr. on January 27 at 6:00pm and January 28 at 3:00pm. Surflight Theatre is thrilled to be partnering with the Beach Haven PTA and Beach Haven Elementary School to present the musical Disney's Little Mermaid Jr. . This event is free to the public and a good will donation to the PTA will be accepted.

Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. Featuring all the music you loved from the movie.

Letters From Home will come to Surflight on Valentine's Weekend with performances Saturday, February 11 at 7:30pm and Sunday, February 12 at 2:00pm. As the official New Jersey stop of their 50-States Tour, Letters From Home will back the style of the USO with a high-energy performance featuring Erinn Dearth and Dan Beckmann!

This duo has performed over 900 shows across the US, for veterans and their families, on cruise ships, and performed at the 75th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France. The show is filled with singing, tap dancing, knee-slapping jokes and audience interaction that make up a spectacular performance geared towards uniting the nation through music. This will be a wonderful afternoon or evening at Surflight Theatre.

Tickets are $41.50 and available for purchase online or by calling 609-492-9477.

David Clark's Songs in the Attic Tribute to Billy Joel comes to Surflight on on President's Weekend with performances on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 7:30pm and Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 2:00pm. Back by popular demand, David Clark brings his terrific tribute to Billy Joel back to the Surflight stage. With a fabulous band, this is a concert that is not to me missed as you sing along and enjoy so many of the songs from Billy Joel's catalogue. A sell out every time.

Tickets are $41.50 and available for purchase online or by calling 609-492-9477.

Surflight Theatre is located at 201 Engleside Avenue in Beach Haven, New Jersey.
