
(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Rutgers Theater Department presents eight performances of Shakespeare's most popular play, Hamlet, at the Levin Theater (on the Douglass Campus) from April 24-May 2, 2026. The production is directed by Cameron Knight.
Hamlet follows Prince Hamlet as he seeks to uncover the truth behind his father’s death, drawing the royal court into a series of conflicts involving deception, loyalty, and moral uncertainty.
Their annual Shakespeare play is an audience favorite, and the productions almost always sell out, so grab your tickets soon.
Performances take place Friday, April 24 at 7:30pm; Sunday, April 26 at 5:00pm; Wednesday, April 29 at 7:30pm; Thursday, April 30 at 7:30pm; Friday, May 1 at 7:30pm; and Saturday, May 2 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm. Tickets start at $10 (fees apply). Discounts for Rutgers employees, alumni, students, and seniors. Tickets are available for purchase online.
