
(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County College Repertory Theatre Company will present ‘Tis the Wind and Nothing More from November 11-13 and 18-20 at the Grunin Center for the Arts, located on the main campus of Ocean County College. Tickets are $15 adults/$12 seniors.
Travel to the darkest corners of the mind of Edgar Allan Poe as some of the author’s best-known works are blended together to create a chilling excursion. Audiences will fall under the spell of these familiar stories and poems, brought to life in a thrilling and suspenseful theatrical adaptation.
All performances will be held in the Black Box Theatre.
Performances take place: Friday, November 11 at 7:30pm; Saturday, November 12 at 7:30pm; Sunday, November 13 at 2:00pm; Friday, November 18 at 7:30pm; Saturday, November 19 at 2:00pm. and 7:30pm; and Sunday, November 20 at 2:00pm. Under the direction of Performing Arts Program Chair Paul Chalakani, the mission of the OCC Repertory Theatre Company is to create opportunities for college and community participation in a variety of rich and diverse theatrical experiences. The company seeks to engage, entertain, inspire, and educate, in order to enhance the cultural life of Ocean County College and the surrounding communities. The OCC/REP provides OCC students, faculty, staff and residents of neighboring communities the opportunity to attend and/or participate in quality performances of theatrical works – musicals and plays, classical and modern, traditional and experimental, through a well-balanced theatrical season. Additionally, the OCC/REP provides an environment for students of our performing arts program to apply what they are learning in a collaborative and encouraging format. The OCC/REP celebrates the power of the theatre to illuminate and mirror the human experience.
