Misfits Theatre Company presents "Murder Me Always"

A play within a play — and a murder no one rehearsed...

originally published: 04/11/2026

(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Misfits Theatre Company presents a limited engagement of Murder Me Always, a rollicking comedy murder mystery written by Lee Mueller, directed by Dennis Connors, and stage managed by Angela Ronan. The production runs for two performances only (April 18-19, 2026) at Villas of Holmdel.

Comedy, chaos, and one real murder. Murder Me Always is a sidesplitting murder mystery set inside a community theatre rehearsal — where the drama onstage is nothing compared to what's happening off it. When a murder occurs that nobody scripted, the cast must figure out whodunit before the curtain falls.

Equal parts Agatha Christie and screwball farce, Murder Me Always delivers non-stop laughs, surprising twists, and an evening of theatre that audiences won't soon forget.

The cast includes Laura Dalston (The Director), Lauren Surrency (Wanda), Greggory Nekrasovas (Fritz), Alan Burkholz (Henry), Starlight Smiley (Trixie), Michele LoPresti (Muffy), Ricky Pucci (Blake), Dustin Wang (Detective Joe Mamet), Andrew Junqua (Drew), Diane Greaves (Dolores), and Ricky Selterman (Cab Driver).

Tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased online in advance. Performances take place Friday, April 18, 2025 at 7:00pm and Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 2:00pm. Villas of Holmdel is located at 200 Commons Way in Holmdel, New Jersey. Recommended for ages 8 and up due to the nature of content.
