Hailed "one of the true masterpieces of the century" by the New York Times, Godot has fascinated and infuriated audiences since it burst upon the world in 1953. This funny, cruel, moving, enigmatic metaphor is "theatre of the absurd" at its most breathtaking pinnacle. The production runs from September 13 – October 1, 2023.

Wednesday, September 13, 2023 - McCarter Theatre presents "Bulrusher". (PRINCETON, NJ) -- McCarter Theatre Center opens their 2023-2024 Theatre Series with Eisa Davis' Bulrusher, a transformational coming-of-age story filled to the brim with passion, humor, and even a touch of magic; on stage in the Berlind Theatre from September 13 – October 7, 2023. Thursday, September 14, 2023 - Blue Note Groove Cruise presents Boney James with special guest Lindsey Webster. Friday, September 15, 2023 - South Camden Theatre Company presents "Alabama Story". (CAMDEN, NJ) -- South Camden Theatre Company presents the New Jersey and Regional premiere of Alabama Story by Kenneth Jones, weekends from September 15 through October 1, 2023. This is a play based on a true story about book banning, a librarian, a state senator, and black and white bunnies. The production is directed by Connie Norwood.

Friday, September 15, 2023 - Count Basie Center for the Arts presents Clannad – In A Lifetime: The Farewell Tour. (RED BANK, NJ) -- Count Basie Center for the Arts presents Clannad – In A Lifetime: The Farewell Tour on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 8:00pm. Clannad (derived from the word clan meaning 'family' in Gaelic) was formed in 1970 by siblings Moya, Ciarán and Pól Brennan and their uncles Noel and Pádraig Duggan (who sadly passed away in 2016), and for a short time later became a six-piece with the addition of Enya Brennan who then went on to have her own successful solo career.

Saturday, September 16, 2023 - September Family events at MPAC include Disney Junior Live and Story Pirates. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents two events for families with children in September. Disney Junior Live: Costume Palooza, featuring popular characters from Disney Junior shows, takes the stage for two shows on Saturday, September 16. Story Pirates: The Amazing Adventure Tour, based on the popular podcast in which actors create stories based on children's ideas, performs two shows on Sunday, September 24.

Saturday, September 16, 2023 - bergenPAC presents Gloria Gaynor. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) presents Gloria Gaynor on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 8:00pm. Gaynor’s legendary career spans over 50 years never losing momentum. She’s channeled her fame into support for several charities, donating not only her money but also her time and talent. She has been honored in recent years by several institutions including the Martin Luther King Jr Award, the Library of Congress, Buzz Aldrin & the APOLLO XI 50th Celebration, and the New Jersey Hall of Fame. Wednesday, September 13, 2023 - Zimmerli Celebrates Innovative Printmaking Studio This Fall: 30 Years of Brodsky Center. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- In the early 1980s, visionary artist and Rutgers University Distinguished Professor Emerita Judith K. Brodsky set out to rectify the gender and racial inequities in the art world by establishing a print- and papermaking studio that provided visiting artists residencies primarily for women artists and artists of color. Pioneers like Brodsky laid the groundwork for the diversity that exists today. This fall, the Zimmerli Art Museum presents the first museum survey of work created by artists such as Faith Ringgold, Melvin Edwards, and Jaune Quick-To-See Smith at this highly influential atelier—now known as the Brodsky Center—founded in 1986 and remaining active on campus for 30 years.

Wednesday, September 13, 2023 - Inventive Contemporary Exhibition About Experimental Approaches to Archaeology Opens at Ramapo College. (MAHWAH, NJ) -- Notes on Anarchaeology. Forgery, Iconoclasm, Displacement, a Ramapo Curatorial Prize exhibition curated by Paulina Ascencio Fuentes, opens on Wednesday, September 13, in the Kresge Gallery of the Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts. There will be an opening reception from 5:00pm-7:00pm, with a curator's talk at 6:00pm. The exhibition continues through November 10, 2023.

Thursday, September 14, 2023 - Ramapo College Foundation Announces 2023 Golf Outing and Honorees.
