(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Brett Altman will have a album release show for Not Quite Love on Friday, October 21 at 8:00pm. The show takes place at NonLinear Knitting Studio in Jersey City. Not Quite Love is an album three years in the making.
On an eventbrite page for the show, Altman wrote, "Parts of this album were recorded in my parents basement, a studio in Brooklyn, a closet in my apartment, and anywhere I could find reverb to finish backing vocals. I surely didn’t expect the curveballs thrown our way in the creation of this LP, but am grateful for every lesson learned throughout. This group of songs started taking shape in 2019 and I’m really excited to share the full vision with you on October 21st.

Brett Altman didn’t sing publicly until the age of 20. Just 21 months later, he performed in front of a crowd of 17,000 at Penn State University for a talent competition, which he won. Since that initial performance, “[Brett] has come a long way in a short time”, as described by American Songwriter. He has showcased at Black Bear Music Festival, and was selected as an “up and coming” artist for the Hudson West Folk Festival. With his band, Brett Altman & The Locals represent a fusion of power pop and indie rock creating a fresh sound.
