5) Arts Council of Princeton's Annual Pop-Up Beer Garden Will Serve Up Tasty Local Beer & Live Music in Support of Community Programs - (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) will host a Pop-Up Beer Garden on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in partnership with Triumph Brewing Company.  The event raises funds for the Arts Council’s longstanding community outreach programs, public art initiatives, and year-long community events and projects. Ticketholders will enjoy an afternoon in celebration of community complete with Triumph beers and live music by local band The Prisms.

6) Hunterdon Art Museum Celebrates 70 Years with New Exhibitions, Terrace Mural Unveiling - (CLINTON, NJ) -- On Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2:00pm-5:00pm, the Hunterdon Art Museum invites the public to the opening of four new exhibitions and the unveiling of a 90-foot mural constructed on its terrace wall bordering the river.

8) Pictures Only will be shown at the New Jersey Film Festival on Friday, September 29! - Charles Honeywood’s narrative short, Pictures Only, will be shown online at the New Jersey Film Festival on Friday, September 29, 2023, for 24 hours. The films tells the story of Louise Parker, an African American painter who specializes in African art, who is let go from her job and has received an eviction notice. She quickly finds a new job as a dancer at a strip club and loves the freedom and popularity it brings her. However, in exploring the lucrative business and her place within it, she risks her mother finding out and allowing her family to lose everything.

9) Excellent personal documentary From Inside of Here screens at the Fall 2023 New Jersey Film Festival on Sunday, September 24! - From Inside of Here, a documentary film by Bill Basquin is a truly personal and intimate documentary film which explores nature and the wild world through the filmmaker’s unique perspective. The film uses many aspects of cinematography, multiple media types and meaningful storytelling to show the fragile but interconnected world of an ecosystem, through both the filmmaker’s and audiences’s own eyes.

13) REVIEW: Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp through the Cotton Patch - Now showing at the Music Box Theatre in New York City, Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp through the Cotton Patch is poised for a Broadway triumph. A revival of Ossie Davis’s 1961 pre-Civil Rights era play, Purlie Victorious is a comedy tour-de-force that packs a punch in our conflicted times.

14) "Sex Work/Sex Play" opens Off-Broadway - (NEW YORK,NY) -- The new comedy Sex Work/Sex Play, from award-winning playwright and filmmaker Caytha Jentis opened to a sold out house September 13 at 28th Street Theatre. The Off-Broadway World Premiere runs until October 29, 2023 and is directed by Rosie Gunther. Produced by Emerging Artists Theatre, the play had a staged reading at the company’s Spark Theatre Festival NYC last fall.

15) Ticket sales start October 2nd for Teaneck International Film Festival - (TEANECK, NJ) -- The 18th annual Teaneck International Film Festival will be held in partnership with the Puffin Foundation, Ltd., November 5-12, 2023.  This year “the film festival with a social conscience” will be dedicated to the late Bob McGrath, beloved resident of Teaneck and Sesame Street.
