originally published: 09/28/2023

(EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ) -- The Winter Lantern Festival is making its New Jersey debut following three consecutive years of sell-out runs in New York City and Washington D.C., where it welcomed more than 150,000 guests annually. From October 25 to January 2, 2024, American Dream in East Rutherford will undergo a breathtaking transformation into an extraordinary world of illumination. This captivating spectacle will feature over 1,000 handcrafted Chinese lanterns and lights, guaranteeing an unforgettable experience.

Guests will enter and wander through a wonderland of light inspired by Chinese myths, legends, and zodiacs. Handmade lanterns of hand-painted silk cloth draped over a frame filled with LED lights will mesmerize guests of all ages as American Dream transforms into a radiant oasis. Visitors can also craft their own paper lanterns, snap photos in the enchanting scenery, and even rent traditional Chinese costumes for an immersive experience on this luminous journey.

Attendees will be amazed as they traverse through dazzling displays of colorful, festive lights and lanterns, including an animal kingdom, a sea world, and a theme park. Majestic creatures including mammoths, polar bears, penguins, and a 50-foot-tall lantern display of Sun Wukong.

Tickets are now available for purchase. All ages are welcome. Ticket prices start from $10 for children and $17 for adults. Tickets can be purchased on Fever’s marketplace here. The venue is ADA accessible.

This winter, the experience is making its way back to New York City and Washington D.C. while also venturing to Atlanta for the very first time.
