(NEW YORK, NY) -- Broadway Bound Kids (BBK) will hold its No One Is Alone Live Concert and Fundraiser on Monday, April 24th at Chelsea Table and Stage: located inside the Hilton Fashion District Hotel, 152 W 26th St, New York, NY. The event will feature Broadway guests including: Jacob Dickey (Aladdin), Susie Carroll (The Prom, Mean Girls), Donnie Kehr (Jersey Boys, The Who’s Tommy), Jessie Fisher (A Beautiful Noise) and Kevin Smith Kirkwood (Kinky Boots). The performance will also be livestreamed for guests who can’t attend in person. The event begins at 7:00pm.
At No One Is Alone, BBK will continue its tradition of providing students with live performance opportunities on professional stages, a hallmark of its programming. Students will perform solos, ensemble numbers, and duets with Broadway stars and Teaching Artists in an elegant cabaret setting. Through its past community offerings and fundraising events, Broadway Bound Kids has won fans such as John Stamos, cast members from Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Waitress, and multiple Tony award-winner Christian Borle who raves: “Broadway Bound Kids fosters a level of respect, creativity, and support that’s like nothing I’ve ever seen!”
This April, BBK endeavors to raise $10,000 to support their annual fundraising needs, ultimately to ensure their program’s sustainability. BBK programs offer invaluable professional-level theater training and mentorship for students from under-resourced areas who face barriers to access performing arts training. This year alone, BBK will serve over 1650 students, mostly through the NYC Public School System, and 80% of whom will not pay for BBK programming. They also ran and sustained their Free Community Theater Ensembles, Broadway Bound Players, and Broadway Bound Workshop. These programs are 100% subsidized musical theater classes for 4th-12th grade students that run all year round, and this year will end the year producing TWO live book musicals: Willy Wonka and Into the Woods. BBK will celebrate these students, their teaching artists, and their community with this evening of song featuring performances from Broadway stars and Broadway Bound Workshop students alike.
BBK invites the New York theater community to aid in its efforts to continue offering life-changing opportunities for students by purchasing tickets for the April 24th concert. Tickets are available for purchase online. And finally, BBK accepts donations through GiveLively. Interested donors can text SupportBBK to 44-321 or visit BBK’s donation page to set up one-time or recurring donations.
