House of Independents Hosts Monmouth Arts' September Networking Meeting

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) --  Artists, arts entrepreneurs, creative businesses, nonprofit arts organizations, nonprofits with arts programs and all those interested in how the arts contribute to our community are invited to join Monmouth Arts at the September Networking Meeting at House of Independents, 572 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ on Wednesday, September 21 from 6:00pm - 8:00p.m.

 
The evening will include networking, professional development, a brief overview of Monmouth Arts' programs and services, and debut the newly redesigned monmoutharts.org. In addition, the ArtHelps Local Arts Grant Awards for Fiscal Year 2017, through a partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, will be announced. These competitive grants are awarded to local nonprofit arts organizations that provide over 2,600 high quality art events throughout Monmouth County each year, serving more than 700,000 people.
 
Special guest Michael Pilla of Pilla Creative Marketing will give a short presentation, "Building Your Audience with Email Marketing and Facebook Ads."  Michael founded Pilla Creative Marketing in 2003 to bring the power of online marketing to businesses and non-profit organizations. Arts clients have included The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC), The Manhattan Theatre Club, The Montclair Film Festival, The Williamstown Film Festival, and The West Oak Lane Jazz and Arts Festival along with individual artists and creative professionals. 
 
A Monmouth Arts Board Meeting will commence at 7:15pm and is open to the public. A cash bar and light fare will be available throughout the evening.

The exhibition is presented by the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey's Members' Committee and the Summit Free Public Library. Admission is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
