"Petals, Dust, & Distant Eyes" - Works by Tafy LaPlanche on Display in Englewood

originally published: 04/12/2026

(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Petals, Dust, & Distant Eyes is a series of portraits by Tafy LaPlanche inspired by fleeting encounters during her travels. They will be on display at buds & blooms in Englewood from May 2-29, 2026.

Each work captures the quiet intimacy of passing moments. Faces glimpsed briefly yet remembered deeply. LaPlanche paints evoking the transient nature of connection and the subtle beauty found in everyday exchanges.

At the center of each portrait is the gaze, anchoring the emotional weight of these encounters. The eyes carry unspoken stories, lingering long after the moment has passed. Through this collection, LaPlanche reflects on how strangers leave lasting imprints, and how memory transforms brief interactions into something enduring, inviting viewers to consider the quiet significance of those we meet only in passing.

There will be an Opening Reception at buds & blooms on Saturday, May 2nd from 6:00pm-9:00pm.  buds & blooms is located at 19 Grand Avenue in Englewood, New Jersey.
