The exhibit in Fairfield, NJ is part of its North American tour that includes, Montreal, Canada, Brooklyn, New York and Miami, Florida.

The art exhibit tour is part of an arts and culture program and partnership between Awareness Foundation America, Khawam Gallery in association with Common Humanity with the aim of shining a light on the human side of the war and its impact on the artists, while promoting peace efforts in the war-torn country.

“I was born and raised in Aleppo and immigrated to the States at the age of 10 with my family, so this is a highly personal project for me. I see and experience the devastation from the relative safety of my home and office here in the States whether on TV or social media,” said Abe Kasbo, CEO of Verasoni Worldwide. “Art and this type of project in particular have a wonderful way of connecting people, bringing people together, and my hope is to continue to build bridges of understanding and contribute to the healing process,”  continued Kasbo.

“My aim is to raise awareness in the hope of changing the perception from destruction — of haunting and disturbing scenes to hopeful, colorful neighborhoods that are filled with life,” said featured artist Tony Khawam.
