Eagle Theatre Announces Complete Casting for "Ragtime"

(HAMMONTON, NJ) -- Eagle Theatre has officially begun rehearsal for their upcoming production of the Tony Award Winning epic masterpiece, Ragtime, under the direction of Producing Artistic Director, Ted Wioncek III. Ragtime opens January 25th and runs through February 17th.


Mile Square Theatre Presents "I and You"

(HOBOKEN, NJ) --- Mile Square Theatre presents Lauren Gunderson’s drama I and You from January 30 through February 24. In the play, Caroline, ill and homebound, is visited by her high school classmate Anthony to complete a project about Walt Whitman. As these two let their guards down and reveal their secrets, the mundane poetry project unlocks the deeper mysteries between the two.

7th Annual Big Man's Birthday Bash To Take Place In Two Venues

(LAKE COMO, NJ) -- On January 11th and 12th, the Jersey Shore celebrates the birthday of the late and legendary, Clarence Clemons, with The 7th Annual Big Man's Birthday Bash. This year’s celebration takes place at two Jersey Shore venues: The Headliner Night Club in Neptune, NJ (Friday) and Bar Anticipation in Lake Como, NJ (Saturday). The events present a historic gathering of All-Star, legendary musicians and will benefit CFC Loud N Clear Corporation, a recognized 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that supports those suffering from addiction, and The Monmouth County SPCA, which is also a 501(c)(3). Friday’s focus will be The Big Man’s Jam years, with artists such as Jerry Garcia and The Grateful Dead. Saturday will bring the Shore Rock and Soul for which The Bash has become known over the past, seven years.


NJPAC Presents China National Traditional Orchestra: Xuanzang's Pilgrimage

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents China National Traditional Orchestra on Tuesday, January 29 at 7:30pm.  The acclaimed orchestra arrives with this immersive musical drama that tells the epic story of Chinese monk Xuanzang (602-664), who traveled the Silk Road across China on a pilgrimage to India.


Phenomenal Women: A Benefit Concert for Planned Parenthood of New York City

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Phenomenal Women, a benefit concert curated and executed by women in the arts in support of women at large will take place at National Sawdust in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Monday, January 21st, one day before the 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Planned Parenthood of New York City. The event will feature an eclectic line-up of musicians, all led by and featuring powerful young female performers: the eclectic multi-cultural group Banda Magda, jazz trumpeter/vocalist/songwriter Bria Skonberg and Alt-Hip-Hop Funk group r.O.T.i. (Resilience of the Intelligent).


New Jersey Youth Symphony Percussion Ensemble To Perform in New Providence

(NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ) -- The New Jersey Youth Symphony (NJYS) will present a concert featuring the Percussion Ensemble on Sunday, January 20 at 3:30p.m. at 570 Central Avenue in New Providence. The concert is free and open to the public. Led by Director of Percussion and Percussion Ensemble Conductor Dr. Mesia Austin, the NJYS Percussion Ensemble will perform The Two of Usby J. Beck, French Suite for Percussion Solo by W. Kraft, Triple Threat by N. Ceroli, Drume by E. Harper, Vesuvius by E. Freytag, and Barnstormer by C. Cockarell, among other works.


The Boardwalk Kings & Unable Music Group Sponsor A Benefit Concert In Clementon On Human Trafficking Awareness Day

(CLEMENTON, NJ) -- You could be forgiven if you’ve not yet heard of The Boardwalk Kings. The Philly-based rock group is relatively new on the scene, but their members are not. Their veteran lineup, including former Rushmore frontman Travis Coffin, brings a polished and friendly brand of alternative rock with a punk rock soul. Wasting no time in making an impact on their community and the music scene, The Boardwalk Kings together with Cherry Hill, NJ-based Unable Music Group, have teamed up with some of the biggest names in music to support the Rock Against Trafficking charity project.


Makin Waves Scene Report with Light of Day Winterfest, Windows of Understanding, The Brighton Bar and more

Little Vicious are among dozens of bands playing Light of Day Winterfest. They’ll play Jan. 18 at Asbury Park Yacht Club with Rachel Ana Dobken, Molly Rhythm and Erotic Novels. Also featured are John Ginty, Deal Casino, Big Man’s Birthday Bash, Project REAL, Cold Weather Company and Karma Gambit.

Hopewell Theater Hosts Special Valentine's Screening of "Casablanca" With Supper

(HOPEWELL, NJ) -- Hopewell Theater will host a special “date night” celebration of Valentine’s Day with a screening of the classic romance film Casablanca paired with an optional Moroccan supper on Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14. An undisputed masterpiece and perhaps Hollywood's quintessential statement on love and romance, Casablanca has only improved with age, boasting career-defining performances from Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.

D&R Greenway Land Trust Hosts Author of "In The Company of Trees"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- D&R Greenway Land Trust continues its celebration of trees with two days of events that include a book talk, workshop and outdoor walk. On Thursday, January 24 at 7:00pm, In the Company of Trees author Andrea Fereshteh will discuss how lands preserved by D&R Greenway and other local conservation groups inspired her writing about the ancient and enduring wisdom of trees.

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Rogue Theatre Festival (RTF) returns with a bold and eclectic lineup for their 7th annual celebration of new works. This year, the festival will showcase 37 original plays and musicals, including fully staged productions, short plays, staged readings, and digital streaming performances. The Flea Theatre in Tribeca hosts this year's festival with performances running August 4-10, 2025 running in association with Abingdon Theatre Company.
