NJ native Catherine Ashmore Bradley Stars As "Annie" at Charleston Performing Arts Center

originally published: 01/09/2019

New Jersey native Catherine Ashmore Bradley will be kicking off the new year starring in the classic musical, ANNIE! at the Charleston Performing Arts Center (C-PAC) at the New Citadel Mall Community Stage. Bradley takes on the lead role as 11-year-old “Little Orphan Annie” starting January 18 through 27.

Determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan, the other orphans help Annie escape to the wondrous world of NYC. In her fun-filled adventures, she foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt, Sandy.

Another Monmouth County native Patrick Cogan will also be starring in the production as “Oliver Warbucks”. Cogan recently played the same role at Centenary Stage Company in Hackettstown, NJ and 6 other different productions including the National Tour in ‘99-2000.

Performers from the James Island Junior Theater and professional adult performers from the greater-Charleston area will also be in the C-PAC production. Guest artists include Maddie Casto as “Miss Hannigan”, Cait Kelly as “Lilly St. Regis”, Jonathan Cobrda as “Rooster”, Trina Vargas as “Grace”, and Joshuah Simpson as “Mr. Bundles”.

Catherine recently ended 2018 in FUN HOME as “Small Alison”, opposite Tony Award nominated Robert Cuccioliin the NY Regional Premiere at White Plains Performing Arts Center.
