(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Studio Players' Reading Series presents a Staged Reading of The Laramie Project 10 Years Later on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 7:00pm. Written by Moises Kaufman and Leigh Fondakowski, this is a powerful and deeply moving epilogue to the groundbreaking original.  The reading is directed by Thomas J. Donohoe II.

A decade after the brutal murder of Matthew Shepard shook the nation, members of the Tectonic Theater Project returned to Laramie, Wyoming, to ask: what has changed? What has endured? And how does a community live with the weight of its own history?

Through a rich tapestry of new interviews, firsthand accounts, and voices both familiar and surprising, the play examines memory, denial, resilience, and the complicated process of healing. Some in Laramie confront the truth of the town’s legacy, while others attempt to rewrite or forget it. What emerges is a raw and urgent exploration of progress—and the barriers that remain—in the ongoing struggle for acceptance, equality, and justice.

Urgent, human, and unflinchingly honest, The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later challenges audiences to reflect on how far we have come as a society, and how far we still have to go. More than a companion piece, it stands on its own as a stirring testament to the power of theatre to bear witness, ignite dialogue, and inspire change.

Tickets are $11.28 and available for purchase online. Studio Playhouse is located at 14 Alvin Place in Montclair, New Jersey.
