Soap Star Brian Gaskill Named as Director of Summer Theater Camp

(HAZLET, NJ) -- Garden State Players has recently named Brian Gaskill, daytime soap star, actor, producer, poet and teaching artist, as its new education director and summer theater camp instructor. Gaskill, a New Jersey native and graduate of Red Bank Regional High School, is best known for his roles on "Guiding Light," "As the World Turns," " The Bold and the Beautiful," "Port Charles," "All My Children" and "Models, Inc." He is currently starring in the webisoap, "The Bay: Dark Side of the Bay," airing worldwide this summer.

Applications are now being accepted for the Garden State Players' first Garden of Youth Summer Theater Camp for students entering grades 5-12. The camp will run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through the months of July and August on stage at Lillian Drive School, Hazlet.

Campers will learn about audition techniques, character development, monologue and scene preparation, and more. Weekly sessions will culminate in a performance for family and friends on Friday afternoons. Enrollment is limited.

The cost is $300 per child per week. Sign up for any weekly session or sign up for all of them; each week is independent of the others.
