(CHESTER, NJ) -- Set in the mountains of Connemara, County Galway, this darkly comic Irish tale of Maureen Folan, a plain and lonely woman in her early forties, and Mag, her manipulative, aging mother, who interferes in Maureen's first and possibly final chance for a loving relationship, triggering events that lead relentlessly towards the play's terrifying resolution. This play won four Tony awards and the 1998 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play.
It is directed by Stephen Catron of Mendham, and features Garaldine Baillod of Rockaway, Victoria Steele of West Caldwell, Matt Meier of Long Valley and Dale Monroe of Hackettstown. Assistant Director is Roxanna Wagner of Mendham. The producer is Karen Catron.
Wine and cheese will be offered opening night after the performance. Show dates are May 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19 at 8 pm and May 6 and 20 at 2 pm. $18 general admission / $16 seniors and students.
