(MILLBURN, NJ)-- Paper Mill Playhouse has announced early casting for Halftime, a new musical, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell. Five-time Emmy nominee Georgia Engel (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Drowsy Chaperone) and Tony and Emmy Award winner Lillias White (The Life, Sesame Street) will lead the cast in this uplifting true story of ten New Jersey seniors with extraordinary dreams who audition to dance at halftime for a major basketball team. ... (LINCROFT, NJ) -- The Premier Theatre Company has announced a new educational partnership with Pegasus Theater, the summer theatrical program of Christian Brothers Academy .  With the support of Pegasus students, Premier will be producing two shows at Christian Brothers Academy’s Henderson Theater this summer, Footloose in July and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in August.  These two shows will complement the Pegasus production of It’s Only a Play taking place at the end of June.... (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- After 30 hours of rehearsal covering ten days, students, ages 9-14, will perform "The Tale of Robin Hood" written by East Lynne Theater Company's artistic director, Gayle Stahlhuth, at The First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, 500 Hughes St., where the company is in residence. The date is Monday, July 3, at 8:00pm. This marks the theatre's 11th Summer Student Workshop Production, and for the past ten it's been standing room only. (RAHWAY, NJ) -- This July, dedicated Broadway fans will be filling in the seats of the Union County Performing Arts Center's Hamilton Stage to see a local production of the highly acclaimed musical, If/Then. Written by Brian Yorkey with music by Tom Kitt, follows the story of urban planner Elizabeth, a recent divorcee looking for a new start in New York City. (NEPTUNE, NJ) -- On June 2, 2017, the Women’s Heart Fund welcomed more than 230 guests to the Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ where together with special guests, Chazz and Gianna Palminteri, they raised more than $75,000 net in support of Women’s Services at Hackensack Meridian Health.
