Don Giovanni Records is thrilled to welcome Storey Littleton to the roster. A Brooklyn-based songwriter, Storey grew up on the road with her family band Ida, performing in libraries, dive bars, and everywhere in between. Now stepping further into her own voice, she marks the beginning of this new chapter with the release of "At a Diner" — her debut single for the label.
Storey continues to tour with her family, playing guitar and keyboards in Ida. She fronts the band M0N0GAMY alongside Livia Reiner and Matthew Danger Lippman, and provides supporting instrumentation for The Hedons, Calder The Destroyer, Luella and Amy Helm. She has toured nationally as a solo artist, including past performances at SXSW, Avrom Farm Party, Levon Helm Studios and Live at Glass Hill. Her favorite venue to play is Tubby's in Kingston NY.
Influenced by 1970s California songwriters Judee Sill, Gram Parsons and Rickie Lee Jones, "At a Diner" is a roadtrip breakup song that travels from the Salton Sea to the Moon, two beautiful, mysterious yet entirely uninhabitable places. Co-produced by Littleton and Lee Falco (Clairo), the sound is driven by fingerpicked acoustic guitar and accompanied by an ensemble of clarinet, french horn and pedal steel that brings the desolate and dreamy landscape to life.
