(MORGANVILLE, NJ) -- Diego Allessandro, the former front man of the two-time Asbury Music Award Top Americana Band nominee Lot 25, announced on TikTok the release of “The Best of Diego Allessandro 2012-2022” through iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and other major digital retailers and streaming services on July 3, 2022. The compilation is made of 17 tracks from Allessandro’s 5 solo albums and the lone Lot 25 album, 2016’s ‘Eden Boulevard’ as well as 2017 single ‘Lonely in Brooklyn.’ All new recordings of the 18 songs will feature new arrangements, some in new keys and contributions from some of Allessandro’s past collaborators.

“I had wanted to do a live album of my best tracks with some local pros I happen to know but the pandemic put the kibosh on that idea,” Allessandro joked. “It’s nice to know the ideas I had, even back when I conceived of some of these tracks, that I was unable to do for one reason or another will get a chance to be heard. I never saw myself as anything other than an artist and I will often cast my characters in multiple voices; in other words, I don’t stick to just one version of arrangement of a song. The music is living and breathing and whether it’s with a band or solo, I try to find the best voice for that particular character. This might hold me back from being more popular as a recording artist but I know when someone buys the music, they’re getting my best, which is much more important to me” says Allessandro. Further release announcements will come via Allessandro’s website

THE BEST OF DIEGO ALLESSANDRO 2012-2022

Joining Allessandro on this particular release will be long time friends and collaborators Tom Coughlin on saxophone [Come On Out (and Play), Long For You, Isabella, Eden Boulevard] and former Lot 25 bassist Reid Weinman on bass for ‘The Ride’ and banjo for “Magical” and ‘Shades of Gray.’ Gary Trippiedi who passed away in November of 2020 makes a posthumous appearance on sax for ‘I’ll Fall With You’ with a part originally cut in 2018 for the 2019 “DiegoFM” single.

“It was nice to add that to the new version and have his presence on this release; I miss him and he was so great to work with,” Allessandro recalled. Those who purchase the new collection (or preorder starting June 6) from Allessandro’s website DiegoA.net will receive three additional bonus tracks also cut with the new tracks including two never before heard outtakes from Allessandro’s 2013 solo album “Magical.”

Born in 1984 in Bogota, Colombia, Allessandro’s trademark sound blending Americana with 60s, 80s and 90s pop has earned him two nominations in the Asbury Music Awards Top Americana Band category with his former group, Lot 25. Whether you’re on the floor showcasing your best moves or at the bar just listening, Diego Allessandro pairs his best songs with fun, electrifying covers that create an explosive, lively, and dynamic atmosphere for all. It’s no secret why LeicesterBangs.BlogSpot.com raves “…[Allessandro] stamps his own identity on his chosen genre with a series of strong songs, which ooze blue collar imagery, and come fully loaded with hooks aplenty.” Diego Allessandro is a powerful voice in Americana music articulating both the American Millennial and immigrant experiences. Since 2021, Allessandro has been doing gear demos and tips for home recording musicians exclusively on TikTok Live.
