(RIVERSIDE, NJ) -- Masquerade Theatre presents Avenue Q weekends from September 25 to October 17, 2026. This puppet-filled comedy follows a group of twenty-somethings seeking their purpose in big-city life.
Recent college grad, Princeton, is ready to live out his life and fulfill his purpose! Only, he's not really sure what he's supposed to do. Stumbling across a vacancy on Avenue Q, Princeton moves in and gets to know the not-so-normal neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends (puppet and human alike) struggle to find jobs, dates and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
The cast includes Tommy Balne (Princeton), Kat Corvino (Bad Idea Bear/Mrs. T), Andi Dennis (Brian), Victoria Friday (Gary Coleman), Mark Gollihur (Bad Idea Bear/Newcomer), Kacy Hofstetter (Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut), Stephen Jackson (Rod), Shawn O'Brien (Trekkie/Nicky), and Sharon Yun (Christmas Eve).
Filled with after school special nostalgia, gut-busting laughs, provocative puppets and some occasional charm, Avenue Q smacks down youthful hopes with the reality of adulthood!
Tickets are available for purchase online. Masquerade Theatre Studios is located at 301 W Washington St #100 in Riverside, New Jersey. NOTE: This show is NOT kid-friendly!
They have "Pay What You Can" performances on Sunday, September 27th, Wednesday, October 7th and Thursday, October 15th. They believe that everyone should have access to great theatre! Tickets are normally priced at $25, but if you're a little low on funds, pay what you're able to. Or if you're feeling generous, give a little more! They'll have QR codes and places to drop cash should you want to add a little extra after the show.

Dion and his music have long represented a special time and place, reflective of a moment when a song could mean so much. When a singer could sum up what it means to be young, in love and on top of the world. Dion is more than a cherished memory as critic Dave Marsh noted, “Dion is the only artist from the 1950’s who has remained creative and relevant into the 2000s.” In 1958 he had three top-forty hits. In 2008 he was nominated for a Grammy. In 2020, is releasing new studio album Blues with Friends, joined by Joe Bonamassa, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons and many other rock luminaries. In the ’50s he was one of a handful of innovators who defined rock ‘n’ roll and that’s still very much the case.
