In this Monty Python‑style romp, Robin Hood and his Merry Men battle the evil Prince John with plenty of snark, slapstick, and fourth‑wall‑breaking fun. Packed with over‑the‑top characters, outrageous plot twists, and humor for all ages.
The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood is a wildly entertaining adventure that proves heroism is in the eye of the beholder — and comedy is everywhere.
The cast includes Jacob Turchi (Robin Hood), Alyssa Graf (Maid Marian), Quinn Michaels (Town’s Gal), Jeremy Thompson (Prince John), Brendan McCunney (Sheriff of Nottingham), Michael A. Muller (Friar Tuck), Ava Castillo (Wilma Scarlet), Dawn Cimilluca (Allie Adale), Mike Powell (Little John), Jamie Sutton (Lady in Waiting), Cindy Magalio (Fawning Lady), Charlotte Meyer (Fawning Lady), Penny Meyer (Fawning Lady), Heidi Cimilluca (Fawning Lady), Matt Leshchanka (Byron), Kimmer Saini (Mary), Jennifer Critelli (Lady Laughtalot), Hadley Frese (Lenora), and Harli Baker (Donna).
Performances take place Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00pm and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Tickets are $24 (adults), $22 (children, seniors, students) and available for purchase online. The theater is located at 601 Route 2026 in Hillsborough, New Jersey.

Playwright Mary Lynn Dobson is a Jersey girl who has worked in the theatre as a director, actor and playwright. Her play The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood has not only been staged in every state in the United States but also had productions mounted all throughout the world, making her one of Dramatic Publishing's most produced playwrights. Another of her works, Skin Deep, was a winner of the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival and is published in the Off-Off Broadway Festival Plays, 35th Series. Her backstage comedy, Two on the Aisle, Three in a Van, published by Samuel French, was performed in the New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), garnering the Summer Theatre Citation for Outstanding New Play as well as being awarded Best Ensemble Cast. The play was also the winner of Northern Kentucky University's Y.E.S. Festival. The university later staged Dobson's other comedy, Dracula, the Untold Story, during the summer theatre, where it received its first professional production in a sold-out run.
