Temperates is a cultural and biological examination of how alcohol marketing, identity and habit shaped the way people drink, and what changes when a person chooses less on purpose. It is not a recovery book and it does not ask readers to quit. It explains the machinery behind the drinking most people never question, then hands them a framework for deciding differently.
