Axelrod Arts Honors the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 with 'Come From Away'


Today Gina is speaking with Broadway stars Joy Hermalyn and Brian O'Brien who will be starring together in the upcoming production of Come From Away at Axelrod Arts. The two have previously performed together in a production of Terrance McNally's The Visit years ago. Today's interview became a mini reunion of sorts.

The 19th OSPAC Annual West Orange Jazz Festival to take place September 19th


(WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- The 19th OSPAC Annual West Orange Jazz Festival will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm. The festival's lineup features Dion Parson & 21st Century Band, The Antoinette Montague Experience, The Jaleel Shaw Trio, Joe Locke Songs & Stories/ Solo Vibes, The Freddie Hendrix Experience & Fellowship, and The Montclair State University Jazz Ensemble Under the Direction of Dr. Oscar Perez and NJPAC TD Jazz For Teens Under the Direction of Mark Gross.

Morris Choral Society Calls For Singers and Announces Holiday Concert


(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The acclaimed chorus, Morris Choral Society (MCS), is calling for singers to join the ensemble. The group is open by audition and attracts members of all ages and backgrounds. Interested singers should come to rehearsal on September 14th, 21st or 28th at 7:30pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 131 Mountain Way in Morris Plains. "John and I started the band," said Scuffletown guitarist and founding member Marc Carraway, "We've been playing together for 28 years primarily as a duo but we also bring other folks in and Matty is our go to third man for many of our tours and big shows. So, we started 28 years ago as an acoustic duo with guitar, vocal, harmonica, accordion and flute and we've been going strong in the Charlottesville area ever since."

Italian experimental short Under The Skin screens at the New Jersey Film Festival on September 6!


Trauma always has a tendency to stick, or for some, stay under their skin. The past can be brought up in ways we may not expect it to. For some, love (good or bad) is one of those traumas that linger. Sotto la Pelle(Under The Skin) is a short film that shows how easily, and how simply, trauma can be brought back into someone’s life.

Watercolor Artist Theresa Troise Heidel Returns to Ridgefield Park Library for Second Art Exhibit and Fundraiser


(RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ) -- Watercolors of sun-soaked New Jersey beaches, historic Asbury Park boardwalks, French countryside, and blooming florals will be on view this September at the Ridgefield Park Public Library, as the Friends of the Library once again welcome artist Theresa Troise Heidel for a solo exhibit and fundraiser open to art lovers near and far, with proceeds benefiting library programs. The exhibit will remain on view through September 30, 2026.
