(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Asbury Park Theater Company presents The Wolves across two weekends from September 25 to October 4, 2026 at the Jersey Shore Arts Center. Sarah DeLappe's Pulitzer Prize finalist play follows a high school girls' soccer team as they navigate friendship, identity, competition, and the challenges of growing up through fast-paced, funny, and deeply human conversations on and off the field.
Left quad. Right quad. Lunge. A girls indoor soccer team warms up. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors. A portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls who just want to score some goals.
Perofrmances take place Friday, September 25 at 7:00pm; Saturday, September 26 at 7:00pm; Sunday, September 27 at 2:00pm; Friday, October 2 at 7:00pm; Saturday, October 3 at 7:00pm; and Sunday, October 4 at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The Jersey Shore Arts Center is located at 66 S. Main Street in Ocean Grove, New Jersey.
This is the first mainstage production for Asbury Park Theater Company under Nate Patten's artistic leadership.

Playwright Sarah DeLappe’s play The Wolves (Pulitzer Prize finalist; Lortel, Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Play/Emerging Playwright; Relentless Award, Sky Cooper New American Play Prize; Susan Smith Blackburn and Yale Prize finalist) premiered at The Playwrights Realm, following an engagement with New York Stage and Film, and development with Clubbed Thumb.
