(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Wise Animal Rescue presents Barknic, its biggest fundraising event of the year, on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Lackawanna Station in Montclair. Perfect for both pets and their humans, Barknic is an indoor, family-friendly, and animal-friendly celebration that brings together the NJ community for an afternoon of fun while supporting a meaningful cause. Guests can enjoy local vendors, music, interactive activities for dogs and their humans, unique photo opportunities, and the chance to meet adoptable pets from local rescue organizations.
Whether you're a pet owner, animal lover, or simply looking for a fun weekend outing, Barknic offers something for everyone. Attendees are encouraged to bring their friends, family, and dogs to enjoy the festivities and learn more about the animal rescue efforts of Wise.
Tickets are $15 when purchased in advance and $20 at the door. Children under 12 and all pets receive free admission. Tickets are available for purchase online.
All proceeds directly benefit Wise Animal Rescue’s work in rescuing at-risk dogs, providing medical care, and placing them with carefully vetted adoptive families. The proceeds raised will also help the organization build momentum toward opening a dedicated adoption center.
