(CHATHAM, NJ) -- Chatham Players present Jersey Voices - New Works by Jersey Playwrights - across two weekends from July 24 to August 2, 2026. One act plays by David Weil Baker, Clinton Festa, Charles Grayson, Steven Hayet, Jeanne Johnston, Matt McHugh, and Missy Renwick will be performed.
Chatham Players have been bringing to their audiences original works by New Jersey connected authors for over 31 years.
Performances take place Friday, July 24 at 8:0pm; Saturday, July 25 at 8:00pm; Thursday, July 30 at 8:00pm; Friday, July 31 at 8:00pm; Saturday, August 1 at 8:00pm; and Sunday, August 2 at 3:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. The theater islocated at 23 N Passaic Avenue in Chatham, New Jersey.
“A Real Turkey” by David Weil Baker, Directed by Emily Miller: What happens at the Seacrest Diner stays at the Seacrest, or does it? When a couple stops in on Thanksgiving, they might just uncover one of the Mob’s greatest mysteries or become their latest victims. Gobble Gobble!! The cast includes Tom Venito (Tim), Erin Feith (Mary), and Lauri MacMillan (Waitress).
“Asteroid Belt” by Clinton Festa, Directed by Hunter Wolf: An astronaut is sent to plant a nuclear bomb on a small asteroid which poses an undetermined threat to Earth. His lander is disabled, he discovers life on the asteroid, and he learns that it may be more difficult to save his planet than he realized. But it’s worth a try. The cast includes KC Boyle (Bill), Kylah Wilson (Lydia), and Tom Drummer (Prince).
“Unlove Me” by Charles Grayson, Directed by Maggie Aube: Love is the most sought-after feeling in the world, and falling in love is easy! The real challenge is trying to unlove someone you never should’ve loved in the first place, preferably with the help of a very confused relationship therapist. The cast includes Elizabeth Lewis (Miranda), Joshua Cupid (Carter), and Lynn Langone (Henrietta).
“Keep the Music Going” by Steven Hayet, Directed by Kayla Fiore: After a mysterious disaster wipes out most of humanity, a stranded astronaut aboard the International Space Station forms an unexpected lifeline with one of the last survivors on Earth through a crackling radio connection. As their bond deepens across impossible distances, they must confront love, isolation, and the painful reality that survival may mean choosing connection or letting it go. The cast includes Nicole DeRose (Jessica) and Sydney Blanchard (Lory).
“Rest in Peace” by Jeanne Johnston, Directed by Missy Renwick: An open and honest conversation between two people who fiercely love each other but have different world views. Rest in Peace explores the vulnerability of the living through comedy and coffee. The cast includes Chip Prestera (Gordon) and Gloria Lamoureaux (Gloria).
“Immaculate Contraption” by Matt McHugh, Directed by Wendy Stuart: A woman walks into a church and asks the priest to baptize her robot. Arguments and debates ensue as all concerned grapple with this demand. The cast includes Jonathan Richards (Monsignor Ricci), Nick Lee (Father Pinter), Joe Cremona (Adam), and Eileen McShane (Mrs. O'Leary).
“The Stakeout” by Missy Renwick, Directed by John AC Kennedy: Newly-teamed detectives on a late-night stakeout attempt to navigate “Intergenerational Communication and Collaboration Workplace Dynamics” – but then the mysterious stakeout begins to spiral. The cast includes Stephen Mennella (Marvin) and Rachel Gesner (Taylor).
The Chatham Community Players have been entertaining residents of Morris County and the surrounding area since 1922. They continue to be a vital cultural component of the Chatham community, Morris County, and the surrounding area. Their mission is to produce high quality theater for a diverse audience, while elevating their standard of excellence and providing a creative outlet with educational opportunities and outreach programs.

Bell Theater at Bell Works presents Broadway Sings for Aaron Lazar on August 31
(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- In 2022, as the world was finally coming out of COVID-19, Aaron Lazar was invited to return to the stage to lead the cast of The Bridges of Madison County, playing opposite Kate Baldwin at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal. Just days into rehearsal, Lazar received a diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, a progressive neurological disease with no known cure. Thus began Lazar's "extraordinary" journey.

Light Opera of New Jersey to Hold Auditions for "Amahl and The Night Visitors"

Fifth Annual Broadway in the Park concert to Take Place September 7th

Center Players to present "The Realistic Joneses" at the Jersey Shore Arts Center
(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Center Players of Freehold will present The Realistic Joneses by Will Eno as its first Signature Series production of the 2026-27 season. Directed by Center Players’ Artistic Director Michael Tota, the production will run from October 2-4 at the Herbst Theatre at the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove, marking the first time Center Players has performed in the venue.
