The Summit Playhouse's Kaleidoscope Youth Theatre presents "Beetlejuice, Jr."

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Summit Playhouse's Kaleidoscope Youth Theatre presents Beetlejuice, Jr. with two casts from June 25-28, 2026. Based on the blockbuster motion picture turned Broadway show, Beetlejuice Jr. tells the story of a strange and unusual teenager named Lydia Deetz, still grieving the loss of her mother, and obsessed with death.

Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium.

Beetlejuice, Jr. features Music and Lyrics by Eddie Perfect; Book by Anthony King and Scott Brown.

The production team includes Director: Jonah Ruderman; Assistant Producer/ Choreographer: Alyssa Natale; Musical Director: Analise Levesque; Assistant Director: Maddie Yadlon; and Producer: Kristina Yadlon.

Performances are Thursday, June 25 at 7:30pm; Friday, June 26 at 7:30pm; Saturday, June 27 at 2:00pm & 7:30pm; and Sunday, June 28 at 2:00pm & 6:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online.  The theater is located at 10 New England Avenue in Summit, New Jersey.

​Kaleidoscope Youth Theatre, a project of The Summit Playhouse, is an educational and community service providing quality drama for and by youth since 1993. Having staged over 40 youth productions, Kaleidoscope offers young people experience in all aspects of the theatre -- acting, directing, costuming, set design, stage management, lighting and sound -- with Playhouse regulars acting as mentors to our young artists. Kaleidoscope is committed to serving the community,  embracing volunteerism, and working together as a team on their productions.
