(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Cape May Stage presents a reading of What Would Meryl Do? by Neal Lerner on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 7:00pm. This is a one-man comic whirlwind about a desperate man in a small upstate town who decides to teach a class on how to live like Meryl Streep — because why not? Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
Playing every character, he delivers a wildly funny, slightly unhinged story that’s part masterclass, part meltdown, and entirely heartfelt. Based on a true story (except for the parts that are completely made up), this sharp and surprising comedy explores identity, survival, and the courage to take center stage in your own life.
Admission is free - no tickets are required. The theater is located at 405 Lafayette Street in Cape May, New Jersey.
Upcoming readings in Cape May Stage's reading series include U.S.A. by Paul Shyre and John Dos Passos on July 20th and Appendage by Derek Murphy on August 10th.
