"Resting" Acrylic 0n Canvas, 2023

(TENAFLY, NJ) -- Visual artist Lemar Kim will present her first U.S. solo exhibition, HELLO WORLD, at ACC Gallery from May 26 through June 6, 2026. This exhibition brings together her signature character works and paintings, featuring a diverse range of artworks including paintings, digital print editions, and installation elements that showcase the breadth of her artistic expression.

Lemar Kim's work goes beyond playful character imagery to explore the emotional narrative of life. Her signature "Double L Smile" symbolizes Love, Laughter, Liveliness, and Life, serving as a visual language for the emotional highs and lows that all people encounter throughout life. Guided by the philosophy that "Only the clouds that bring rain can create rainbows," her work reflects a journey through hardship, growth, and the dreams and hope we discover after turning through many pages of life.

The exhibition title HELLO WORLD serves as both Lemar Kim's first greeting to American audiences and a message of new beginnings. Much like the familiar phrase used in programming to mark a first launch, this exhibition symbolizes the opening chapter of her journey onto the global stage.

"Finally Love" Lenticula, 2026

The exhibition will feature new paintings centered around her signature character Kurumi, alongside digital print editions, object works, and wearable pieces that expand her artistic language into physical forms. Through vivid colors, pop-inspired visual language, and emotionally resonant imagery, Lemar Kim creates an experience that connects with contemporary audiences in a warm, intuitive, and uplifting way.

More than a character exhibition, HELLO WORLD explores the emotional moments each person encounters throughout life, and the hope discovered at the end of those experiences. Beneath the cheerful and approachable imagery lies a deeper message about resilience, healing, and the courage to move forward.
