(WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- Bear Tavern Project and the 2026 Tomato Patch Jr Students present Cosmic Campfire Chronicles across two weekends from May 23-31, 2026 at the Kelsey Theatre. It takes place one quiet night deep in the forest, a group of children gathers around a flickering campfire, swapping ghost stories under a sky ablaze with stars. Suddenly, the stars begin to move.
A glowing spacecraft descends and from it emerge alien beings - emissaries of the Universal Federation of Planets. Earth is under consideration for membership, but there’s a twist - the Federation doesn’t want to speak to politicians or world leaders. They want to hear from Earth's future—the children. And they want a tour.
With barely time to grab their backpacks, the children become unexpected ambassadors, whisked away aboard the alien craft on a whirlwind journey around the globe. The big question? Will Earth make the cut—or will humanity be left behind?
Performances take place Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00pm & 4:00pm with weekday performances on Wednesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 28 at 10:00am. Tickets are available for purchase online. Kelsey Theatre is located at 1200 Old Trenton Road in West Windsor, New Jersey.
Bear Tavern Project is the brainchild of Sheldon Bruce Zeff and Susan Galli. Presenting Family Friendly events, and working in collaboration with Tomato Patch Junior on Children's Theatre events, Bear Tavern Project was established in 2023.
