On April 2, 2026, Low Cut Connie paid tribute to one of his musical heroes Prince with a cover of "Little Red Corvette" ahead of the 10th anniversary of his passing on April 21, 2016. The live performance video was recorded live at The Current in Prince's hometown of Minneapolis, MN.
Adam Weiner explains: "It's 10 years since his passing, and Prince's music means more now than ever. He had a vision of diversity, radical love and openness in his art that is more crucial in today's America than ever. He elevated women, he elevated love, he elevated our consciousness. 'Little Red Corvette' is the ultimate Saturday nite song, and I will never get tired of it. It was an honor to perform it in Prince's hometown at the Current, a radio station he loved and supported."
Low Cut Connie also released "Oh Yeah," the third single to be released from his forthcoming album Livin in the USA that will be released on July 3 via Contender Records. The album was announced earlier this year in a statement on social media about the impetus for writing an album that walks the tightrope between protest and partying.
"I've had some weird and unspeakable adventures over the years. Once in a while they end up in my songs. Life in America is so wild," explains Weiner. "We did this little slice of rock n roll in one quick take, live to tape. After that I decided to do the whole album like that - old school - just let it fuckin rip."
"Oh Yeah" follows the release of "Little Freakers" and the album's title track "Livin in the USA." Rolling Stone said, "Livin in the USA is as much about partying as it is about protesting injustice," while Classic Rock Magazine called it "A soulful, piano-thumping fuck-you to the ruling political machinery and tech bro class of his motherland." Jim Derogatis and Greg Kot also included the song in their discussion of "Modern Protest Songs" on Sound Opinions.
