George Street Playhouse presents limited runs of "My First Ex-Husband" and "True Tales of Sex, Success and the City" for February  (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse has announced additional programming for February 2026, including My First Ex-Husband, written & performed by Joy Behar ("The View"), and True Tales of Sex, Success and the City, written and performed by Candace Bushnell ("Sex and the City").

Algonquin Arts Theatre presents "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"  (MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre continues its powerful 2025–2026 season with Ken Kesey's electrifying stage adaptation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, running for four performances only from February 14-21, 2026. A gripping and deeply human drama, the play is set inside a state mental institution where individuality clashes with authority.

Dunbar Repertory Company presents "A Raisin In The Sun" at Middletown Arts Center  (MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- Dunbar Repertory Company presents A Raisin In The Sun by Lorraine Hansberry across two weekends from February 14-22, 2026 at the Middletown Arts Center. Set on Chicago's South Side, Hansberry's celebrated play concerns the divergent dreams and conflicts in three generations of the Younger family: Son Walter Lee, his wife Ruth, his sister Beneatha, his son Travis and matriarch Lena.

State Theatre New Jersey presents RENT in Concert  (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- RENT in Concert is hitting the road for a special Performing Arts Center tour, bringing the unforgettable music of Jonathan Larson's groundbreaking musical to audiences across the country. The tour comes to State Theatre New Jersey on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 7:30pm. This limited concert engagement celebrates the score that changed musical theater forever—performed exclusively in song, in a powerful symphonic concert setting.

Kean University Theatre Department presents "Urinetown"  (UNION, NJ) -- Kean University Theatre Department presents Urinetown from February 20-28, 2029 in the Wilkins Theatre. The play takes place in a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets.

"The Devil & Daisy Dirt" returns to NBPAC - Bigger & Better Than Ever!  (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Devil is back! That's right, friends, it's time to get Dirty! Again! After their sold-out performance in November, The Devil & Daisy Dirt returns to New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) for five shows from February 20-22, 2026. With a bigger budget and loftier goals.

"'Til Death Do Us Part: Late Nite Catechism 3" comes to Grunin Center  (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Entertainment Events presents 'Til Death Do Us Part: Late Nite Catechism 3 on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Grunin Center for the Arts. This is the latest class to be unveiled in this sinfully funny series. Showtime is 3:00pm.

Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents a reading of "The Devil's Disciple" by George Bernard Shaw  (MADISON, NJ) -- The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) has announced the cast for its upcoming reading of The Devil's Disciple by George Bernard Shaw, presented as part of the theatre's Revolutionary Voices play reading series. The performance will take place on Monday, February 23, 2026 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University. The reading begins at 7:30pm.

EVENT PREVIEWS

Arden Theatre Company presents the Philadelphia Premiere of "Good Bones"  (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company presents the Philadelphia premiere of Good Bones, the newest play by Pulitzer Prize–winning playwright James Ijames (Fat Ham), about gentrification and the consequences of change in a neighborhood and in a family. Directed by Philadelphia-based award-winning actor Akeem Davis, the production begins performances January 22, opens January 28, and runs through March 8, 2026.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents "Come From Away"  (MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse presents Come From Away from February 4 to March 1, 2026. The play deals with September 11, 2001 - the day the world stopped - and September 12, when a small Newfoundland town started bringing people together. Come From Away tells the true story of 7,000 stranded airplane passengers welcomed by a community that turned fear into friendship and strangers into family.

Jesse Eisenberg, José Rivera, Christopher Goutman, Lyle Kessler to perform at 2026 Chain Winter One-Act Festival  (NEW YORK, NY) -- The 2026 edition of the Chain Winter One-Act Festival takes place from February 5 through March 1, 2026, at Chain Theatre (312 West 36th Street, 3rd and 4th Floors, New York, NY). The festival has become one of the city's largest and most dynamic showcases for new work.

The Village Playbox presents "A Midsummer Night's Dream"  (HADDON HEIGHTS, NJ) -- The Village Playbox presents William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream across three weekends from February 6-21, 2026 at First Presbyterian Church of Haddon Heights. The production is directed by Natasha Thompson.

October Ensemble Theater Company presents The Sweetest Crime: A Chocolate Covered Murder Mystery  (OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- The October Ensemble Theater Company presents The Sweetest Crime: A Chocolate Covered Murder Mystery weekends from February 6 though March 1, 2026 at the Jersey Shore Arts Center.

Music Mountain Theatre presents "Les Liaisons Dangereuses"  (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre presents Les Liaisons Dangereuses across three weekends from February 6-22, 2026. The Tony-nominated play by Christopher Hampton is based on the novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. It's a tale of seduction and treachery among aristocrats in pre-revolutionary France.

Bridge Players Theatre Company presents "She Kills Monsters"  (BURLINGTON, NJ) -- Bridge Players Theatre Company presents She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen across three weekends from February 6-21, 2026. This action-packed, heartfelt show follows a young woman who dives into her late sister's Dungeons & Dragons world – facing monsters, magic, and the messy bonds of family along the way.

Bergen County Players presents "Play On!" by Rick Abbot  (ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players presents Play On!, the fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy by Rick Abbot, weekends from February 7-28, 2026 at Oradell's Little Firehouse Theater. Dubbed a "love letter to community theater," Play On! offers audiences a rare double feature: the play as it’s meant to be performed... and the play as it actually is.

Brundage Park Playhouse presents "Brighton Beach Memoirs" by Neil Simon  (RANDOLPH, NJ) -- Brundage Park Playhouse presents Brighton Beach Memoirs by Neil Simon across two weekends from February 12-22, 2026. A perfect coming-of-age comedy, this play follows Eugene Jerome as he navigates the problems that come with being a teenager during the Great Depression.

Lantern Theater Company presents "Blues For An Alabama Sky"  (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Lantern Theater Company continues its 2025-26 season with the Philadelphia premiere of Blues for an Alabama Sky by Pearl Cleage. Guest director Brett Ashley Robinson leads an ensemble cast including Kash Goins, Taylor Mitchell, and Ebony Pullum, as well as Lantern newcomers Tariq Kanu and Cookie Diorio. Blues for an Alabama Sky runs Thursday, February 12 through Sunday, March 15, 2026, at St. Stephen's Theater in Center City Philadelphia.

Luna Stage presents Shakespeare's Hamlet (Abridged!)  (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage presents Shakespeare's Hamlet (Abridged!) in new 90-minute adaptation by Rajesh Bose from February 12 - March 8, 2026 on the MainStage. The play features 5 actors playing 16 roles, highlighting the humor and urgency of this taut, intimate, heartbreakingly political tragedy.

CDC Theatre presents "It Shoulda Been You"  (CRANFORD, NJ) -- CDC Theatre presents It Shoulda Been You across three weekends from February 13 to March 1, 2026. This is Broadway's wild musical farce with blushing brides, nervous grooms, overbearing moms, unexpected guests and plenty of crazy twists and turns.

Villagers Theatre presents "Dogfight"  (SOMERSET, NJ) -- Villagers Theatre presents Dogfight across two weekends from February 13-22, 2026. Based on the 1991 Warner Brothers film, Dogfight takes audiences on a romantic and heartbreaking theatrical journey that stays with you long after the performance.

Nutley Little Theatre presents "Harvey" by Mary Chase  (NUTLEY, NJ) -- Nutley Little Theatre presents Harvey by Mary Chase weekends from February 13-28, 2026. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play is one of the longest-running comedies in Broadway and West End history, capturing the magic of amiable Elwood P. Dowd's friendship with his best friend, a tall white rabbit which only he can see.

South Street Players presents "I Hate Hamlet" by Paul Rudnick  (SPRING LAKE, NJ) -- South Street Players presents I Hate Hamlet by Paul Rudnick across two weekends from February 13-22, 2026. In Rudnick's play, television star Andrew Rally is about to start rehearsals to play Hamlet, and he is terrified. 

Laughs, Love, and Inclusion Take the Stage in Musical Comedy "The Prom" at Kelsey Theatre  (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- Four fading Broadway stars, desperate for the spotlight, insert themselves into a controversy surrounding a small-town prom—with hilarious results—in the musical comedy The Prom, running weekends from February 13-22, 2026 at the Kelsey Theatre on Mercer County Community College's West Windsor Campus.

Playhouse 22 presents "Althea & Angela"  (EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Althea & Angela, a play inspired by the real lives of tennis players Althea Gibson and Angela Buxton is making its New Jersey premiere at Playhouse 22 with performances across two weekends from February 13-22, 2026.

Spring Lake Theatre Company presents "The Wedding Singer"  (SPRING LAKE, NJ) -- Spring Lake Theatre Company presents The Wedding Singer across two weekends from February 13-22, 2026. Based on the hit film, the play follows Robbie Hart, a loveable wedding performer who gets jilted at the altar and has to find his groove—and his heart—all over again.

Pixie Dust Players presents "Parade"  (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Pixie Dust Players presents Parade, the Alfred Uhry and Jason Robert Brown musical, at the JCC Metrowest across two weekends from February 13-22, 2026. Parade tells the story of the 1913 trial and imprisonment and 1915 lynching of Jewish American Leo Frank in Georgia.

Axelrod Performing Arts Center presents the premiere of "That's Love! The Dorothy Dandridge Musical" starring N'Kenge  (DEAL PARK, NJ) -- Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC) presents premiere of That's Love! The Dorothy Dandridge Musical, starring Tony®, EMMY®, and GRAMMY® Award–nominated internationally acclaimed performer N'Kenge (Motown the Musical, Caroline, or Change). Performances run February 19 through March 8, 2026.

Mile Square Theatre presents "The Young King"  (HOBOKEN, NJ) -- Mile Square Theatre presents The Young King, an imaginative, immersive adaptation of Oscar Wilde's beloved fairy tale, re-envisioned for young audiences and families weekends from February 19 – March 8, 2026. It was adapted by Nicki Bloom and directed by Misti B. Wills. The Young King invites audiences to step inside the story, encouraging reflection and dialogue among children, families, and educators alike.

NJ Rep presents the World Premiere of "Samantha Inside Out"  (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep), the award-winning incubator for new plays and daring theatrical voices, kicks off its 2026 Mainstage Season with the world premiere of Samantha Inside Out, running February 19 through March 15, 2026, at the Lumia Theater in Long Branch. Opening night will be February 21, 2026.

Middlesex College presents "Edges"  (EDISON, NJ) -- Middlesex College's Visual, Performing, and Media Arts Department presents Edges across two weekends (February 19-21 and February 26-28, 2026) at the Studio Theater in Edison. The 100-minute production is a song-cycle about a group of young, burgeoning adults asking classic coming-of-age questions.

Haddonfield Plays and Players presents "Noises Off"  (HADDONFIELD, NJ) -- Haddonfield Plays and Players presents Noises Off weekends from February 20 through March 7, 2026. Called "the funniest farce ever written," Noises Off presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing's On.

Centenary Stage Company presents Dial "M" for Murder  (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company presents Dial "M" for Murder, running February 20 through March 8, 2026 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Centenary University campus. Adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the original by Frederick Knott, this is a new version of the celebrated murder mystery that inspired Alfred Hitchcock's cinematic masterpiece.

The Levoy Theatre presents "Shrek, The Musical"  (MILLVILLE, NJ) -- The Levoy Theatre presents Shrek, The Musical across two weekends from February 20 to March 1, 2026. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, this is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire.

Bordentown Thespians present the musical comedy "Twelfth Night"  (BORDENTOWN, NJ) -- The musical Twelfth Night, based on William Shakespeare's play and with music and lyrics by Shaina Taub, will be performed by the award-winning theatre students of Bordentown Regional High School on February 20-21, 2026 at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center. This is a rousing contemporary musical adaptation of Shakespeare's classic romantic comedy about mistaken identity and self-discovery.

"You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" To Open MainStage Season For Gateway Playhouse  (SOMERS POINT, NJ) -- Cartoonist Charles M. Schulz’s beloved "Peanuts" characters come to life in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, a charming, family-friendly musical packed with heart and laughter, hitting Gateway Playhouse weekends from February 20 to March 1, 2026. The musical marks the first in an all-musical MainStage Season for the theater company.

Phoenix Productions presents Disney's The Little Mermaid  (RED BANK, NJ) -- Phoenix Productions presents Disney's The Little Mermaid from February 20-22, 2026 at Count Basie Center for the Arts. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, This is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages.

Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater & Music Theater presents "Manual for a Desperate Crossing"  (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater at Princeton University presents Manual for a Desperate Crossing by María Irene Fornés, an epic migratory montage that follows a group of Cuban rafters, or "balseros," fleeing to the United States in the mid-1990s. The production is directed by Princeton junior Didi Vekri with lighting design and dramaturgy by senior Elena Milliken. Performances are February 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 at 8:00pm in the Wallace Theater at the Lewis Arts complex on the Princeton campus.

Two River Theater presents Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House" with a Jersey Twist  (RED BANK, NJ) -- Two River Theater presents Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, adapted and directed by Justin Emeka (Sweat, Romeo and Juliet). Mr. Emeka's adaptation will run in the Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater from February 21–March 15, 2026.

The Theater Project to present staged reading of three short plays by Rosemary Parrillo  (CRANFORD, NJ) -- The Theater Project's 2026 New Play Readings series will present a staged reading of three short plays by Rosemary Parrillo on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Cranford Community Center's theater. Admission is free, with no registration required. The event begins at 2:00pm. Following the reading, the audience will be able to engage in conversation with the playwright, cast, and director.

VIP Theatricals presents the World Premiere of "CURTSEY – A Royal Comedy"  (NAVESINK, NJ) -- VIP Theatricals presents the World Premiere of CURTSEY – A Royal Comedy by David J. V. Meenan. Polite society takes a spectacular tumble in this fast, fizzy period farce set in the spring of 1939 at the impeccably proper — and wildly unprepared — Woman's Club of Red Bank, New Jersey. Performances take place across two weekends from February 21 to March 1, 2026 at The Navesink Library Theatre.

Two River Theater announces cast and creative for "A Doll's House"  (RED BANK, NJ) -- The award-winning Two River Theater has announced the cast and creative team for Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House. Written by Henrik Ibsen and adapted and directed by acclaimed director Justin Emeka (Sweat, Romeo and Juliet), this world premiere adaptation is reimagined in 1950s New Jersey, weaving Black culture into one of the most powerful plays ever experienced. A Doll's House will run in the Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater from February 21–March 15, 2026.

'New Works Weekend' to Premiere 10 Short Plays in Somers Point  (SOMERS POINT, NJ) -- SPQR Stage Company will host a two-day "New Works Weekend" that includes 10 original short plays making their world premieres at Studio;Space in Somers Point, February 21-22, 2026 with the option to livestream on February 21.

NJ Rep's Salon Reading Series presents "Shake Rag Hollow" by Arlene Hutton  (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company's Salon Reading Series presents Shake Rag Hollow by Arlene Hutton on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 7:00pm. The staged reading is directed by Eric Nightengale.

City Winery NYC presents Selections from The Rock Musical Soul Searching In Concert  (NEW YORK, NY) -- Selections from The Rock Musical Soul Searching In Concert takes the stage next Monday, February 23, 2026 in The Loft at City Winery. Doors open at 6:00pm, showing is 7:00pm. This musical is a unique burst of pop rock energy that follows a successful attorney living on New York's Upper West Side as she embarks on a comedic and ultimately poignant search for her elusive soulmate with the help of her married friends, all engulfed in relationship challenges of their own.

Holmdel Theatre Company presents a staged reading of "The Sty of the Blind Pig" by Phillip Hayes Dean  (HOLMDEL, NJ) -- The Holmdel Theatre Company presents a staged reading of The Sty of the Blind Pig by Phillip Hayes Dean on Monday, February 23, 2026. Doors open at 6:30pm featuring soul-stirring music by Grammy-nominated guitarist and singer Junior Mack. The reading begins at 7:00pm.

Hunterdon Hills Playhouse presents "The Sunshine Boys" by Neil Simon  (HAMPTON, NJ) -- Hunterdon Hills Playhouse presents The Sunshine Boys by Neil Simon from February 24 through March 26, 2026. This is a classic comedy about two aging vaudeville performers, Willie Clark and Al Lewis, who were once a legendary duo but haven’t spoken in years due to a bitter falling out.

"The Phil Collins Story" comes to MPAC  (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- From the team that brought you the smash hit tour The Simon & Garfunkel Story comes The Phil Collins Story. It chronicles his remarkable chart-topping time with Genesis to his multi-Grammy winning solo career to his Academy Award-winning work for Disney. The tour comes to Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 7:30pm.

Liberty Arts Theatre presents a Staged Reading of "The Last Victim of the Holocaust"  (LEONIA, NJ) -- Liberty Arts Theatre, a new and emerging, non-profit, arts organization based in Bergen County, presents a stage reading of The Last Victim of the Holocaust on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at The American Legion - Post #1. This is a new play and a discussion with the playwright will follow the performance. The event begins at 7:30pm.

The production will run February 26 to March 15, 2026 at three venues in New Jersey: the Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge, the DMK Theater/Union Arts Center in Union, and UCPAC's Hamilton Stage in Rahway.

Based on George Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion, My Fair Lady was the recipient of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The production is directed by ATG’s Producing Artistic Director James Vagias, with choreography by Victoria Casillo and Musical Direction by Amanda Dee.

Vivid Stage Brings Pop-Up Theatre: Crossroads on the Canvas to the Visual Arts Center of NJ on February 27  (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage will bring a fresh format of theatre to the community on Friday, February 27, 2026. Crossroads on the Canvas is a Pop-Up show that will appear at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit for one night only. This unscripted story will be improvised by the Vivid company of actors while the audience joins them in one of the center's art studios.

The Curtain presents a new adaptation of Shakespeare's "Richard III"  (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The Curtain, Jersey City's premier classical theatre, will present an all-new adaptation of William Shakespeare's Richard III this March at Nimbus Arts Center weekends from March 5-29, 2026. Directed and adapted by Sean Hagerty, this morbidly comic, blood-soaked classic charts the ruthless rise of Shakespeare's most notorious king.
