CDC Theatre presents "It Shoulda Been You"

(CRANFORD, NJ) -- CDC Theatre presents It Shoulda Been You across three weekends from February 13 to March 1, 2026. This is Broadway's wild musical farce with blushing brides, nervous grooms, overbearing moms, unexpected guests and plenty of crazy twists and turns.

A modern musical farce with heart, It Shoulda Been You invites you to a wedding day where nothing goes as planned. Chaos, secrets, and laughs abound as two families, one Jewish, one Catholic, collide in a whirlwind of love, identity, and unexpected twists. This fast-paced ensemble comedy celebrates acceptance, forgiveness, and the true meaning of family.

The cast includes Rachel Love (Jenny Steinberg), Maryann Post (Judy Steinberg), Joe Rodriguez (Murray Steinberg), Jordyn Sava (Rebecca Steinberg), Matthew Cavallo (Marty Kaufman), Tatum Thompson (Annie Sheps), Sharon Garry (Georgette Howard), Rick Brown (George Howard), Brian Petty (Brian Howard), Pat Connolly-Blood (Greg Madison), Sean Lynch-Littlejohn (Albert), Betty Mack (Mimsy/Aunt Sheila), and Jason Monto (Walt/Uncle Morty).

It Shoulda Been You features Book & Lyrics by Brian Hargrove; Music by Barbara Anselmi. The production team: Director: Zachary Mazouat; Music Direction by: Catherine Corcoran;  Producer: Elizabeth Howard;  Stage Management: Dana Dispoto.

Performances take place Fridays and Saturday nights at 8:00pm and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. For the first time, CDC will offer a performance that will include ASL interpreters on Sunday, February 22 at 2:00pm. CDC Theatre is located at 78 Winans Avenue in Cranford, New Jersey.

Accessible parking is available and the theater is equipped with one wheelchair accessible restroom in the main lobby. Wheelchair accessible seating is available. CDC Theatre is committed to making its facilities accessible to all their patrons.

The Cranford Dramatic Club is a non profit all volunteer organization whose purpose is to: Produce and present plays of merit; Develop, by discussion and active participation, the talents of members in all phases of dramatic work, e.g., directing, acting, staging, etc.; and Stimulate community interest in amateur theater.
