(NASHVILLE, TN) -- Christine Radlmann, lead vocalist of the award-winning country band Southpaw, has been named the 2025 Modern Female Country Vocalist of the Year at the Josie Music Awards, held November 2nd at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee—the revered seat of country music.
This marks Radlmann's second win in the vocalist category, following her first in 2022, and solidifies her place among the most respected rising voices in modern country music.
Southpaw is a trio of New Jersey-based musicians. They like to say they serve up killer country music with an East Coast attitude.
Now in its 11th year, the Josie Music Awards is the largest independent music award show in the world. The 2025 ceremony received nearly 86,000 submissions, with only 2.8% earning nominations—the result of a rigorous selection process by music industry professionals.
"I'm deeply honored and humbled to receive this award," said Radlmann. "Standing on the Opry stage—where so many legends have sung before—is every country artist's dream. This award isn't just mine; it belongs to the incredible fans, my bandmates in Southpaw, and everyone who believes in the stories we tell through our songs."
Radlmann's recognition reflects Southpaw's growing momentum in the country music scene. The New Jersey-based band blends classic country roots with elements of blues, rock, and soul, earning critical praise for their rich harmonies and heartfelt songwriting. The group was previously honored as 2023 Country Group of the Year and 2024 Fan's Choice at the Josie Music Awards.
Southpaw is signed to Deko Entertainment, an independent record label and affiliate of ADA/Warner Music. The band's newest single, "You Are My Moon," will be released on December 12, 2025, on all major streaming platforms. Their current music video "Mountain Man" has over 240,000 views on YouTube.
