The Chatham Community Players presents Reading of "In The Next Room or The Vibrator Play" by Sarah Ruhl

(CHATHAM, NJ) -- The Chatham Community Players presents "In The Next Room or The Vibrator Play" by Sarah Ruhl as a part of their successful Play Reading Series.  One Night ONLY on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at the Chatham Playhouse. Showtime is 7:00pm.

In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play) is a witty and poignant exploration of intimacy, desire, and the early use of electricity in medicine. Set in the 1880s, it follows Dr. Givings and his wife Catherine as they navigate the emotional distance in their marriage. As treatments for "hysteria" unfold in the next room, deeper truths about love and connection emerge.

The cast includes: Jessie Thiele as Catherine Givings; Gus Ibranyi as Dr. Givings; Missy Renwick as Sabrina Daldry; Rachelle Rennagel as Annie; Pierce V Lo as Leo Irving; Sonali Burns as Elizabeth; and Christopher Hietikko as Mr. Daldry.

Tickets are $10 or Pay-What-You-Can. Tickets are available for purchase online and will also be available at the door. The Chatham Playhouse is located at 23 North Passaic Avenue in Chatham, New Jersey.

Patrons are encouraged to BYOB & Snacks.
