(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse presents Ebenezer Scrooge's Big Jersey Christmas Show from December 2-21, 2025. Written by Gordon Greenberg (Holiday Inn, Dracula!) and Steve Rosen (The Other Josh Cohen) and directed by Greenberg, it is based on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and gives the holiday classic a Jersey twist.
Premiere Stages at Kean University to Develop Works By Three Playwrights

Jersey Bluesman releases "My Mississippi Roots" 
James Barnes — known to audiences throughout the region as JB — carries the blues in his blood. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in New Jersey after his family moved east in 1965, he grew up steeped in the sound and spirit of the music. On his father's side, JB traces his lineage back to Mississippi, the wellspring from which so much of this tradition flows. Those "Mississippi Roots" became more than just family history; they formed the bedrock of his artistic calling.

New Release Review - "Bugonia" 
Jang Joon-hwan's 2003 Korean sci-fi comedy Save the Green Planet! was part of that Millennial wave of East Asian genre movies that developed cult followings among western audiences. Many of those films received inevitable, and inevitably disappointing, Hollywood remakes, and now two decades later Jang's film receives am English language remake from an unlikely source: the Greek absurdist auteur Yorgos Lanthimos.
