
(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- ACME Screening Room kicks off Lambertville's historic Halloween festivities with the fourth annual Lambertville Halloween Film Festival, October 17-19, 2025. Come out for the juried LHFF short film festival and stick around for a weekend full of parties, horror guest speakers and special events.
This season short films will be broken down into the following blocks: Heady Horror (psychological thrillers, Sci-Fi, and slow-burn horror), Guts and Gore (slashers, exploitation, and after-dark) and Happy Halloween! (Any short film with that Halloween vibe--even if it's not horror.)
The opening night party, Monster Homecoming, takes place on Friday October 17 @ 7:00pm, at the Lambertville Music Hall. The is year’s theme is “Homecoming” based off the story of Lambertville High and the legend of “Buckeye”. Guest MC’s are Mike Maronna and Danny Tamberelli of The Adventures of Pete and Pete fame. Dan’s band Jounce will perform the Empire Records soundtrack. A costume contest, Natural Mystic Tarot Reader, silent auction and photo booth round out the night. Food provided by D’Angelos’ Italian Market, Princeton. Sponsored by Explore Lambertville, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Wynk Seltzers and Unreality Productions.
Saturday and Sunday bring film screenings, New Hope Ghost Tours and a A Nightmare in New Hope horror prop gallery, with Mike and Dan hosting a special surprise event to close out Saturday night.

The annual Lambertville Halloween Film Festival opening party is going back to school this year with a 'Monster Homecoming' themed dance party. Ask your date early, put on your best costume, and get your tickets now! The night includes special guest MCs, Danny Tamberelli & Michael Maronna of The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Live Music w/ Danny's Band "Jounce", appetizers, drinks, tarot card readings, a photobooth, costume contest, silent auction, and of course dancing. “Concession” Food by D’Angelo Italian Market. Saturday, October 18 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm @ 20 S Main St, New Hope | 2025 LHFF A Nightmare in New Hope Presents: Pop-Up Gallery of Horror Movie Props. Walk through an exclusive horror gallery, hosted by curator and owner of the brand new 'Nightmare in New Hope', Joe Gioconda. Joe is bringing an exclusive item, the screen-used jacket from Scream, to the gallery for this one day opportunity. Get up close and personal with iconic screen used props and outfits from classic and beloved horror franchises. You won't see this event anywhere but at this year's LHFF!
Saturday, October 18 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm @ Acme Screening Room | 2025 LHFF Screening: Short Film Block A. Come see 10 of the best genre short films this side of the Delaware. Filmmakers from around the world submitted to be a part of our “Guts and Gore” and “Happy Halloween” short film categories and you’ll get to watch the ones our judges deemed the cream of the crop. Films include Grayson’s Yard, The Glowing Wrath: Shortcut to Heck, Shelters, Dawn of The Dad, FREA, Kevin Must Dance, Tommy’s Toenails, CUCA, Lily, and Keep Coming Back.
Saturday, October 18 from 2:15pm - 4:00pm @ Acme Screening Room | 2025 LHFF Screening: Short Film Block B. Come see 9 of the best genre short films this side of the Delaware. Filmmakers from around the world submitted to be a part of our “Heady Horror” short film category and you’ll get to watch the ones our judges deemed the cream of the crop. Films include Howl if You Love Me, Blood Money, My Friend Harvey, There’s Gold in Them Hills, Hitori (Alone), Sweet Child of Mine, The Resonance, Whole, and Demons Against Death Club.
Saturday, October 18 from 3:00pm - 4:30pm | 2025 LHFF Walking Ghost Tour. For the first time in nearly 45 years The Ghost Tours of New Hope will offer a walking ghost tour starting in Lambertville.
The tour will stop at locations like the Lambertville House which Adi-Kent Thomas Jeffrey, founder of The Ghost Tours of New Hope, used as a place to write. Mrs. Jeffrey was devoted to Bucks County, where she resided for over 40 years, but spent many years traveling in search of paranormal stories and happenings. The tour will also cover locations across New Hope said to be haunted.
The tour will start promptly at your selected timeslot in front of the ACME Screening Room in Lambertville. Tour is approximately 1 hour long.
Saturday, October 18 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm @ Acme Screening Room | 2025 LHFF Screening: The Point Pleasant Tapes Plus Q&A. "In 1987, three friends vanish on a road trip to West Virginia. Thirty-four years later, footage of their final moments leaks onto YouTube, forcing viewers to question the existence of an ancient evil within the Appalachian woods."
Last year 1289 Films shared a world exclusive preview cut of their found footage Mothman feature film with LHFF audiences and it became an instant hit. This year they're bringing us the final cut that is set to be distributed in the near future. Come see what's changed and what stayed the same at the premiere of the FINAL version of The Point Pleasant Tapes before it hits homes everywhere.
After the screening hear how 1289 went from last year's festival to picked up for distribution. You'll also get a chance to ask all your burning mothman questions.
Sunday, October 19 from 12:0pm - 1:30pm @ Acme Screening Room | 2025 LHFF Screening: Haxan - Silent Film Screening with an Original Accompaniment. Part droning noise soundscape, part electric dance party, part improve -- musician Sam Stillwell brings an eclectic soundscape to the 1922 classic silent film "Haxan".
