Nature (De)Constructed: Deb Jellenik, Beth Sillen Opening at Gallery Jupiter

(LITTLE SILVER, NJ) -- Gallery Jupiter is kicking off their exhibition season with a new show featuring works by artists Deb Jellenik and Beth Sillen. Both artists create works on or of paper to produce diverse representations of the natural world. The opening is scheduled for Friday, September 12, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. Everyone is welcome.

Ms. Jellenik starts her process by collecting images of flowers, shells, leaves, branches, and other natural elements. She then digitally edits them to achieve a more graphic appearance. When she’s happy with the composition, she prints them on hand-painted, leafed paper or plain paper. Then she adds other media, such as paint, print, metal, or wax, on top. This layering creates texture that highlights her subjects and celebrates the beauty of the natural world. “I am fascinated by how the process of combining materials with my photos adds depth, creates tension, and changes the feel of the work,” says Ms. Jellenik.

Woven paper works will also be a key feature of this exhibit, showcased individually by each artist, and with a collaborative project of shared paper.
