The Adelphi Orchestra presents Echoes of the Isles

(RIVER EDGE, NJ) -- The Adelphi Orchestra presents Echoes of the Isles on Friday, October 10th at River Dell Middle School Auditorium in River Edge, NJ (showtime is 7:00pm) and Sunday, October 12th at Broadway Presbyterian Church in New York City (showtime is 3:00pm). This concert celebrates the beauty and spirit of the British Isles.

Under the baton of Maestro Jason Tramm, the program features three evocative masterpieces: Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture (Fingal’s Cave), Elgar’s Sea Pictures with mezzo-soprano Laura Zahn, and Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy performed by violinist Blues Zhang, the 2025 Adelphi Young Artist College  Competition winner.

Tickets are $35 ($25 for seniors, $10 for students). Tickets for the performance at River Dell Middle School (230 Woodland Avenue) in River Edge, NJ are available for purchase here. This program has been made possible in part by a grant administered by the Bergen County Department of Parks, Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

The Adelphi Orchestra is a professional, non-profit ensemble celebrated for its symphonic, chamber, operatic, choral, and dance concerts, led by principal conductor Maestro Kyunghun Kim for over 70 years. It is the oldest chamber orchestra in Northern New Jersey.

For the past 21 years, the orchestra has proudly hosted the Young Artist Competition and Young Artist Concerts, nurturing young talent throughout New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area. Regularly featuring accomplished national and international guest soloists and distinguished conductors, the Adelphi Orchestra has been a finalist in the Jersey Arts People's Choice Award for Favorite Orchestra/Symphony for six years. As one of northern New Jersey's longest continuously performing orchestras, they are an integral part of the state's cultural community.

The orchestra currently performs at Fair Lawn Community Center Theater, Fair lawn, NJ,  River Dell Regional High School in Oradell, NJ and Broadway Presbyterian Church where concerts are livestreamed.
