(WAYNE, NJ) -- Passaic County invites residents and visitors to spend Independence Day in classic American style at the Dey Mansion Washington's Headquarters' July 4th Picnic, a family-friendly celebration set on the grounds of one of New Jersey's Revolutionary War landmarks.
Taking place on Thursday, July 4, 2025 from 11:00am to 3:00pm, this free event promises an afternoon of lawn games, live music, delicious food vendors, and timeless patriotic fun for all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the festive atmosphere surrounded by the historic charm of Dey Mansion.
“This isn’t just a celebration of the Fourth of July, it’s a celebration of our shared story,” said Commissioner John Bartlett. “We’re proud to host this event at Dey Mansion as we continue the March to 250, marking the countdown to the 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026.”
With activities designed to engage all guests, the picnic will also feature opportunities to explore the mansion’s grounds, learn about life during the Revolutionary War, and connect with the rich legacy of the region.
“Passaic County is proud to honor our Revolutionary roots in a way that’s vibrant, welcoming, and fun,” added Commissioner Bartlett. “Events like this remind us of how far we’ve come and how powerful it is when communities gather together to celebrate our past and future.”
