(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Geenetica (Geena Buono) brings her heartfelt vision to the stage with She's NorMale – A Transgender Odyssey, a groundbreaking live multimedia musical production premiering Thursday, June 19, 2025 at House of Independents. Showtime is 7:00pm. As part of The North 2 Shore Festival in Asbury Park, NJ, this will be the second year the show kicks off the festival line-up.
This one-of-a-kind experience features live original music, biopic storytelling, spoken word, poetry, and stunning on-stage visuals—every detail envisioned by Geenetica and realized by projection designer and co-producer Denis Randall. Together, these elements weave a deeply personal yet universal narrative about the beauty and challenges of transgender life.
“For me, it’s about showing that the journey to authenticity is as beautiful as it is challenging,” Geenetica shares. “This isn’t just my story; it’s a celebration of what makes us all human—our courage, our flaws, and the connections we create.”
Her talented band includes Kevin Stryker (bass), Dennis Blume (lead guitar), Christian Lopez (drums),Mike Rosa (keyboards), and Geenetica herself on lead vocals and acoustic guitar.
