(NEWARK, NJ) -- North to Shore is a festival celebrating all the talent, diversity and creativity this great state has to offer. North to Shore will bring together over 100 venues for an over-the-top showcase of Jersey-wide excellence, aligned with former Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy's vision for a celebration worthy of the Garden State's legacy in the arts and innovation. Two shows from this year's festival will be held at Newark Culture Club!
On Saturday, June 13 at 8:00pm, Brick City Comedy Revue returns with a special edition show made for New Jersey's largest summer festival — and this one is stacked. Headlining the evening is Kyle Grooms, a comedic force whose half-hour Comedy Central special and appearances on Chappelle's Show, HBO, NBC, BET, CBS, VH1 and the film I Feel Pretty have made him one of the most recognized names in stand-up.
Joining him is Rae Sanni, a writer, podcaster and stand-up star whose work spans A Black Lady Sketch Show, The Good Place, and Comedy Central's The President Show. Named one of Comedy Central's Up Next comedians and a Just For Laughs New Face, Sanni brings razor-sharp wit and an effortless stage presence that commands the room from her first word.
Rounding out the lineup is John Moses, a road-tested veteran with over 20 years of performing. He has rocked The Comedy Cellar, Gotham Comedy Club and The Apollo Theater. His album Upper Middle Trash was named one of the best of the year by SiriusXM's Raw Dog Comedy.
Holding it all together with hometown pride is Special Guest Host Gordon Baker-Bone, Newark's own sharp-witted storyteller, known for Gotham Live and his wildly popular podcast The Bad Advice Show. Tickets are available for purchase online.
On Wednesday, June 17 at 6:00pm, Antoinette Montague, internationally acclaimed vocalist and "Jazz Woman to the Rescue™," presents "The Antoinette Montague Experience: Here's to the Ladies Who Swing and Bling."
